Pandemic Horde Announces Move out of Geminate and Perimeter, Shifts Focus to Branch

On the heels of the recent Pandemic Horde (PH) Partisans’ fireside in which SIG leader alphastarpilot announced a shift in PH’s focus to Branch, Horde has now made it official. The entire alliance is deploying to Branch and advising all pilots to leave Geminate.

As headshotting staging stations has become an increasingly common tactic, alphastarpilot noted in his fireside that Partisans will be staging out of the NPC station in PF-QHK and using a cloning Astrahaus for logistics to prevent a titan drop on staging. He said SIG members should set deathclones to PF- and should only be in Geminate if ordered there.

Now it appears that similar guidance has been extended to the entire alliance. “Our priority is Branch,” noted a ping from PH leadership. “Perimeter has served us well and we were blessed to hold it that long. But naturally it belongs to the dominant force on the server . . . Same applies to Geminate. Our caps are not in Geminate, our FCs and sigs are not in Geminate.”

In the wake of The Imperium’s ongoing ceasefire with GOTG/Dead Coalition, Pandemic Horde has found itself increasingly at odds not only with the alliance’s long-time Imperium rivals, but also with its former PanFam allies. The move away from Geminate – where the group first made its home several months ago – is a marked shift from its posture during the recent War in the North, in which the brunt of the fighting was borne by CO2, NCdot, and GOTG, while PH focused on fortifying Geminate.

Oh we’re going to hear that – partially because it’s true. But we all know Geminate was only attractive to Horde because they were manipulating markets right next door in The Forge. Now that TEST has crapped in that bed, Horde certainly seems to be in a hurry to ‘deploy’ out of there.

Imperium is already under an armistice with GOTG/Dead Coalition. It doesn’t stretch the boundaries of imagination to develop that into a temporary partnership to eject Horde from the north. Perhaps we might even see the Imperium and Northern Coalition on friendly terms like they were ten years or so ago before PanFam hectored them into an eternity of mutual defense pacts. With PL no longer giving those pacts any real value to NC, the prospect of babysitting Horde seems like a poor trade…

    • I doubt it. Most Goon line members hate NC. with a passion. That hate for PL and NC. and everything they’ve become and stand for (culture wise) runs too deep to even consider a partnership. It runs as deep as the hate for CO2.

    • All things change. It was only a month ago that we loved beans. Sound the Horn!!

It was only two weeks ago that I was warned off by a bean about a Bean fleet that had formed to kill me while I was roaming for beans to kill in Geminate. I felt bad about being there and went home.

Now I’d sooner kill a bean than a bee.
