During a fireside chat with Horde’s Partisans SIG, alphastarpilot announced that Partisans will deploy to PF-QHK in Venal to harass GOTG denizens in Branch. This announcement comes shortly after Goonswarm declared war against Horde’s ISK faucet in Perimeter.
Horde Partisans are a group of the wider newbie-focused Pandemic Horde alliance, led by alphastarpilot. They have dedicated themselves to a gameplay of self-improvement and “serious fun”. Alphastarpilot announced that during the deployment there would be moments where he would be “less chill” when commanding fleets. Still, he assured his members that he has no desire to mimic Progodlegend and “go full chimp.”
Partisans are set out to stage out of PF-QHK’s NPC station with a cloning Astrahus for logistics, in order to prevent an NC. Titan drop on a staging Fortizar. Partisan members must have their death clone set to PF-. Alphastarpilot further told members to only be in Geminate, Pandemic Horde’s home region, if specifically ordered by a director. The deployment sees Partisans working hand-in-hand with Black Legion. The Partisans will used sub-capital ships only. Shield triage and high-angle weapon dreadnoughts form the only exception to this. Both types of capitals provide support for sub-capital fleets.
Alphastarpilot named Muninns, Feroxes, Jackdaws and Retributions as the deployment’s main doctrines. Partisans members must have both a DPS and a support ship for each doctrine in their staging system. Additionally, the deployment will use black ops doctrines of bombers and recons to harass the enemy. These doctrines provide superior ability to infiltrate enemy space and escape unscathed. In the fireside chat, alphastarpilot called his “team” the “masters of their own content”. He encouraged them to always be in standing fleet, roaming around or camping gates. The deployment will last for “as long as the content lasts”. In addition, it will focus on getting fights over claiming sovereignty.
Pandemic Horde is a part of the wider so-called Pandemic Family (PanFam) coalition. PanFam also includes namesake Pandemic Legion and Northern Coalition., with NC/PL often mentioned as one entity. In this conflict, NC. has taken GotG’s side, while PL remains neutral. As a result, members worried about how the actions in the north would affect their mutual standings. One member asked whether they were to split up NC. and PL. However, no answers were forthcoming. Alphastarpilot admitted that NC.’s recent behaviour was lacking, and cooperation after X47 rubbed him the wrong way.
Partisans’ deployment is the latest development in the North’s apparent collapse into warring factions after the Imperium ceased hostilities after a costly deal with the near-bankrupt Guardians of the Galaxy Coalition.
