Last night the Imperium anchored a keepstar in the Cloud Ring system of 6RCQ-V, securing its borders and placing its armored forces within striking distance of a number of critical systems in Pure Blind as well as direct access to Fade. In response to the brazen establishment of these enhanced border security measures in Cloud Ring, a number of hostile enemy forces have gathered in hopes to destroy the citadel as it exits anchoring and before it can come online. Opposition fleets from a collection of Northern coalitions, including Guardians of the Galaxy, Pandemic Family, the Northern Coalition, and a number of other adversaries from the Casino War, have called for fleets to standby in regions around the area. At present, it is anticipated that thousands of pilots will join in the attack against the Imperium’s newest keepstar, and as many more will gather to defend it. If the citadel is successfully anchored, it will represent a significant first step in the Imperium’s recently announced launch of military operations in the region.
I will be providing up-to-the minute liveblog coverage of the anchoring, at speeds that will seem blazing relative to the expected time dilation. The citadel will come out of anchoring at approximately 0330 Eve. At this hour, so late in the evening in the US timezone and in the early morning hours in Europe, it is unknown what FCs will be cooking or whether any ribs will even be prepared at all. 0230: One hour to go as fleets are massing on both sides to stagings all around the area.
0257: In 32 minutes the keepstar will be vulnerable. The livestream is showing a, uh, handful of Rifters. Local is now greater than 1000.
0305: I’ve been passed a grid report showing more than 500 Imperium supers on grid, with more expected to appear. Co2 showed up with Munnins. Darkness just welped 30+ bombers into a boson for some reason or another. Imperium killboard now green, op success.
0309: According to dabigredboat, a GotG pilot set himself to squad leader and fleetwarped the fleet into a cargo container 15 km above dabigredboat, for a complete feed. Thanks, dabigredboat’s friend!
0322: There’s maybe a Wyvern tackled somewhere? Also maybe a GotG titan on a gate tackled. Meanwhile the keepstar looks small compared to the giant wall of titans and supercarriers while the Imperium puts on what appears to be a grotesque display of raw military might. The Wyvern, it has been said, is just about worth a quarter of a Delve Hour.
0325: 5 minutes until adventure.
0327: Apparently Northern dictors are bubbling the fringes of the Imperium super fleet?
0329: 30 seconds until something probably doesn’t happen?
0330: And we’re off!
0335: Timer is currently paused at about 10 minutes.
0343: Pandemic Horde Gilas are dealing sufficient damage to pause the keepstar anchoring timer presently, with 10 minutes and 53 seconds.
0353: There are people at CCP with a fire extinguisher putting out nodes, probably.
0400: Still paused at 10:53, appears to be at about 92% health.
0417: Is anyone making any dinner? Any FCs doing anything fun this weekend? There’s a keepstar, it’s kinda sitting there, there’s some Gilas getting hazed.
0419: There’s a rumor the Imperium is trying to make a space dick out of their space dicks, which is the most interesting thing I’ve heard so okay, let’s go with that.
0437: This is still better than EveProv, if I’m honest.
0445: It looks like a bunch of Northern ships are disengaging. Timer still paused from where I’m sitting. Our Dear Leader seems to be chasing them off personally from the front.
0449: Lot of reds disengaging but the keepstar is still paused? Maybe we’ve just been bosoning our own keepstar this whole time.
0452: The timer’s going again, 9 minute 22 second remaining as fofofofofo floods the local chat.
0500: 1 minutes 30 seconds remaining, it looks like the Imperium will successfully anchor the first staging keepstar and establish a huge beachhead on its campaign of vengeance.
0502: The keepstar is online and out of repair, ensuring weeks of content for the residents of the north. GOOD GUYS WIN AGAIN.
