The Imperium lost a dozen dreadnoughts and carriers last night around 23:00 EVE as an unexpected capital engagement escalated in the Pure Blind system of X-7OMU. A Hel from Psychotic Tendencies (TISHU) was returning home from a solo roam in L-TS8S to break up a Mordus Angels (MOA) gatecamp when an Imperium Jackdaw fleet was able to bubble it in the X-7OMU system.
Daklan was piloting the TISHU Hel and says Imperium capitals arrived on grid approximately eight minutes after he was tackled. The supercarrier was put into deep structure, but ultimately was saved after a TISHU supercapital fleet bridged into the system with light Proteus support. The fight escalated with the Imperium reinforcing their capitals with a subcap fleet of Megathrons, Apocalypses, and Caracals. Pandemic Legion (PL) and the Money Badgers Coalition (MBC) followed TISHU by deploying a support fleet of Nyxes and Aeons with Rattlesnake subcaps.
While TISHU lost two carriers worth 4.2 billion ISK, the Imperium capital fleet was destroyed and their subcapital support withdrew. The Imperium sustained over 40 billion ISK in losses from the battle. The fight was largely unexpected and occurred in a NPC system. No strategic objective was at stake. When asked if he had anything to say, Daklan remarked, “Death to all supers.”
