TEST saves, then loses Wyvern in G-M4GK

2017-04-13

TEST saved and then proceeded to lose a Wyvern today in G-M4GK in Paragon Soul to a joint Red Menace Coalition and Imperium operation.

The Red Menace Coalition, a collection of mostly Russian-speaking alliances initially tackled the super and were quickly joined by Imperium allies in a rageform.

According to Chutlanin of RED Alliance, TEST capitals had been playing games on the undock of a recently installed Fortizar in G-M4GK near the TCAG-3 entrance to Period Basis. RED Alliance had previously killed carriers on the same citadel and were trying for more when the Wyvern pilot jumped in to escalate against the Rattlesnake fleet. RED Alliance’s Rattlesnake fleet was then forced off by a rescue fleet of comprised of TEST Nightmares and the Wyvern managed to deaggro, only for the pilot to apparently get caught by fleet warp and taken with their departing rescuers to a gate and tackled again, this time for good.

RED Alliance batphoned, and Imperium FCs apple pear and Thomas Lear ran a hastily formed Proteus fleet out to Paragon Soul to assist RMC in securing the kill. Once the Imperium arrived, the combined force of RMC dreadnaughts, Rattlesnakes, and the Imperium’s T3 fleet quickly cleared the field, forcing TEST’s Nightmares to retreat and leaving no chance of a second rescue. The Wyvern and a handful of assorted caps brought in to support it soon perished.

Thomas Lear commented “I wish Test would have actually fought. Glad we were finally able to catch one of their supers.”

Red Alliance made a small clip of the fight, shown below

Thanks for writing this up! I understand there was also confusion with a titan jumping instead of bridging at some point in the fight, so it could have all ended very differently

Yeah but we bridged 1 system out on a blue fortizar. So in this case there was no risk there. And there was a other titan on grid. So we simply got that one in fleet and then bridged 🙂

🙂 Keeping spare titans for emergency bridging is a good plan!
