A day after a CO2 Nyx was caught and executed, an elite Imperium dread squad has caught and executed a second ratting Nyx from the same corp.
A cloaky scout was camping the system of FG-1GH in Impass when he noticed the Nyx-class super carrier ratting in the system. He quickly sent word to the dread squadron’s leader, Alfuis Togra. Upon hearing of the target, Togra mobilized his dreadnought fleet and moved into range.
When the Nyx warped to his next ratting site the cloaky scout, who was flying an Eris-class interdictor. tackled and lit the cynosural field for the fleet. 10 dreadnoughts and 3 carriers jumped to the cyno and begin to pound the Nyx. The Nyx responded by lighting his own cynosural field generator to allow CO2 to come to his rescue. CO2 scrambled to form a response fleet but the ratting-fit Nyx took less than a minute for the capital fleet to dismantle. As soon as the Imperium capital fleet were able, they warped to safe spots and cloaked. Only one dreadnought and two carriers, all fully insured, remained behind to be caught and killed by the CO2 response fleet.
The imperium relentlessly continues to punish Circle-of-Two for their past treachery when they were an Imperium member that flipped sides on them after the Casino War’s M-O battle. Purge the heretic.
