Over the past few months, a coalition of Korean pilots from Goonswarm Federation, Shadow of xXDEATHXx, Ginnungagap, and many other corporations has been stirring up trouble in lowsec. While they seem to be having a lot of fun, they are leaving some expensive losses in the wake of their battles.
The Big Fights
The most recent exchange between Koreafleet and lowsec powerhouses was in the region of Genesis on November 7 in the systems of Lela and Naka. Koreafleet, led by Errestrian, engaged a small neutral tower in the system of Lela. The Koreans flew their current doctrine of Machariels, Bhaalgorns and Napocs. BADIT answered the Koreans with a fleet of their own, coming in Sacrileges, Machariels and a handful of caps. During the engagement in Lela, BADIT inflicted over 6.2B ISK in losses, while Koreafleet dealt only 1.05B ISK. The fight spilled over into Naka, a system three jumps away, presumably while the Koreans were trying to escape. The aggressors lost that fight as well, losing another 11.7B, while BADIT took just a little over 6B ISK in damages.
One notable kill during the firefight include this Archon, which had a belly full of Centus X-Type armor hardeners. Probably should have used those, huh?
Previous Engagements
On October 24, in the system of Chej, Koreafleet lost 20B ISK during a fight with BADIT and TISHU in which Koreafleet brought at least half a dozen capital ships supported by Apocalypse Navy Issues, Armageddon Navy Issues, Machariels, and Bhaalgorns. Defenders Bad Intention and Psychotic Tendencies brought twenty five capital ships supported by Machariels, and by the end of the fight, 30B ISK worth of ships were destroyed.
Previous to this fight was a super dunk costing Koreafleet 32.1B and BADIT/TISHU a mere 1.3B ISK. A TISHU/BADIT perspective of the fun can be seen here:

After having their fun, Koreafleet is scheduled to move back to their home region of Black Rise under the loving and protective wing of the Imperium’s forces. Considering that winter break is coming for college students around the world, one could say that low sec is going to get pretty hot in the next couple of months. Maybe we’ll see a certain Korean corporation within Goonswarm deploy with Koreafleet for the winter? Only time will tell.
