In Verge Vendor on August 5 at 20:16 in Costolle, Snuffed Out and That Escalated Quickly engaged Shadow Cartel, Dead Terrorists, and Cynosural Field Theory over high-value moon owned by Shadow Cartel. Snuffed Out and That Escalated Quickly used Megathron Navy Issues and armor-tanked Tech III cruisers supported by triage Archons, combat Archons, and dreadnoughts, while Shadow Cartel, Dead Terrorists, and Cynosural Field Theory used a combination of Megathron Navy Issues, and Machariels. The Snuffed Out and That Escalated Quickly fleet was led by D0nniedark0, while the Shadow Cartel, Dead Terrorists, and Cynosural Field Theory fleet was led by W0wbagger.
The battle began on Snuffed Out’s initial cyno point almost as soon as both sides had entered into Costolle. Snuffed Out’s dreadnoughts initially provided them with a heavy advantage over the battleships of Shadow Cartel, Dead Terrorists, and Cynosural Field Theory. As the fight went on, the Dreadnoughts of Snuffed Out began to die in a quick succession under the sheer DPS from Megathron Navy Issues and Machariels. Once the Snuffed Out dreadnoughts were eliminated from the field, battleships from both sides began to fall quickly, with Megathron Navy Issues on both sides taking the brunt of the damage.
However, as Shadow Cartel was able to reship from their staging system faster than Snuffed Out, the tide began to turn to Shadow Cartel and their allies. As Snuffed Out and That Escalated Quickly’s overall damage began to drop off, the call was made to evacuate Snuffed Out and That Escalated Quickly carriers and subcapitals from the field.
Once the dust had settled, the butchers bill was found to be in excess of 180+ Billion, with Snuffed Out and That Escalated Quickly inflicting 76 Billion in damages while Shadow Cartel, Dead Terrorists, and Cynosural Field Theory inflicted 106 Billion in return.
This conflict is part of a series of engagements in Verge Vendor, Placid, and Essence as Snuffed Out attempts to take moons from Shadow Cartel and their allies. Other battles in this campaign include an earlier brawl in Barleguet, with many more expected in the weeks to come..
