A Flaccid “End Game” PAPI Announcement

2021-07-24

In an awe-inspiringly flaccid Legacy announcement, TEST FC and professionally-mythical deity Progodlegend announced that PAPI would be re-starting their offensive against 1DQ1-A. Initial re-engagement is slated to being this week with sub-capital assets, while members are strongly encouraged to re-subscribe and move their supers and capitals back to T5Z, including ‘ratting carriers’.

Once the offensive begins, PGL estimates the process will take 2-4 weeks. This means members who resubscribe will have time to move their capitals in, give Progod four more weeks to make good on a year of promises, and still have a few days to evacuate before their month of PLEX’d time runs out.

Gobbins, in a far more straight forward manner, announced the same timeframe but gave a more rounded approach to the “endgame”. Stating that no progress had been made for a considerable amount of time and that by using the new Tech 3 cruiser doctrine, they will be able to hit at Imperium space from the rear.

While these announcements were being relayed to PAPI members, numbers were swelling in 1DQ1-A with 2,500 Imperium, 700 in 3-DMQT. In T5ZI-S a meager 1500 PAPI pilots decided to log in for the week-long hyped announcement.

Wait PGL actually called for people to move their ratting carriers specifically? Does he understand the difference between a pilots’s PVP and PVE assets? Only an fool would suggest people risk the ships they need to make their isk. Especially when he can’t afford SRP lol.

you’ve got to remember piggles thinks he can copy every goons do AND do it bigger and better to boot. So when we called out ratting myrms and domi’s and used them to kill their npc delve keeps clearly this big brain fucktard figures ratting carriers can do the same thing only better……

That is another great point. PAPI has no way to SRP any of the super and titan losses which will occur. Do you think PAPI members will risk losing their incredibly expensive titans when they know they won’t be SRPed considering titans from M2 still haven’t been SRPed?
So yeah PAPI members should resubscribe to lose their expensive assets when the people calling for it won’t even help replace them.

The big bad PAPI basically had one last chance to try to unite everyone before they would collapse. The war would be over either way in a few weeks so they are trying to use their last gasp of breath to blow the imperium’s brick house down.
I think we know how this will turn out.

Wow, even for sapi that’s absolutely pathetic for a “big announcement”. An announcement of an announcement would’ve been more compelling than this low effort trash that they put out.

“while members are strongly encouraged to re-subscribe and move their supers and capitals back to T5Z,”

LOL, I don’t even have the words for this, how shit do you have to be for your announcement to include telling your people to UN-QUIT THE GAME your SHITTY TACTICS DROVE THEM TO QUIT….

I honestly want a response for Seir and Dripple on this one. What’s it like to be on the “winning” side that has to beg it’s members to come back to the game they QUIT mid-“winning”-war to finish the job your window licking leaders couldn’t lead you to finish with a 3:1 advantage the likes of which this game has never seen?

I don’t think PAPI will get many people to come back considering they are asked to come back to the hardest part of the war which PAPI was avoiding for a year.
Regarding actual participation from people still playing the game I also don’t think these alliances will really go all in because they know this is their last chance and none will want to risk all their capitals because at the end they still need to be strong enough to defend against each other.
Contrast that to the Imperium who need to risk all and who know they have the best defenses built up and greatest chance of success.

How they imagine to complete the offensive ops within 4 weeks? To do that they have to be confident in 3:1 ratio and do almost everyday escalations otherwise its fail and they would face the biggest loss ever happened in Eve.

    July 25, 2021 at 4:19 AM
    • At least they will own the number 1, 2, and 3 slots on that. Being all top 3 in something is good right?

What 3 to one ratio they probably mustered all their active war willing players in t5 that puts them at a 2 to 1 numbers disadvantage.

I explained what I was listening to after the announcement with my ten year old daughter. How after 1 year of not entering 1DQ and 3 months of being out numbered they are trying to excite their members to trust them and try again.

She said, and I quote my ten year old daughter on this, “it’s almost like my kinetic sand. If I drop it, no matter how much I try to pick it all back up, it’s always less than I had before.”

It reminds me of a committee I serve on at the college where I work. Everything is always “we’ll revisit this next month.” But nothing ever actually gets done, so each month fewer people even bother to show up for the meetings.

The war isn’t between PAPI and the Goons anymore. The war is a struggle between PAPI leadership and PAPI members now.

On Ron’s stream last night they were trying to make out that references to the woodchipper were a real life threat despite the fact that every time it’s used it’s used in the context of PAPI ships and assests being chewed up by the Goon woodchipper in game. Ron himself sounds sad and beaten, he’s demoralized, ground down a year of war and relentless propaganda. It was actualy sad to watch, I mean that, I felt sorry for him. I think they know the war is lost. When they thought they could kick the goons out through force they had plenty of spunk. One year later with acceptance of the reality of a loss setting in they have now moved to complaining. That’s the new meta complaining about Goons, probably aiming for cancellation if they can complain to CCP enough. The old man trapped in a slightly less old man’s body of crying in stations has been on this course for a while now.

Ron is the worst EvE streamer on Twitch. He does nothing but talk shit, not only on other players, but also about his viewers all the time. He is unfunny, sheeplike, and overestimates his abilities relative to the talky content he provides.

I am not involved in null politics, but damn, it seems you are right: the propganda has overtaken him. He doesn’t show his face and his voice sounds like he modulates it… I wonder why– I truly can only wonder.

From the outside, it seems he is just a shill. He is a shell of a representation of a real person whose only purpose is to be an arm of propganda. I don’t even believe he’s a unique person with a real history. He’s an alt to me, and an insufferable one at that.

I would be grateful if you could ask Ron about his “doxxing stories”. You see he made a very big thing about being doxxed by the Imperium. Then when some of his viewers asked why his doxxing story kept changing Ron went quiet. There was even a Reddit thread about it giving all the details. For some reason Ron never addressed this on Reddit despite them being active over there. I did pop onto Ron’s stream to ask him about it. But I was banned when I said “hi”. Given Ron’s reluctance to offer any clarification I am starting to think that Ron has made the whole thing up.

I try not to just bash people who voice opinions I disagree with, but when it comes to ron and matternot, there’s just no redeemable qualities for me to leave them alone over in hopes those qualities someday outweigh the negatives. They both play themselves off as some sort of overall Eve guru or subject matter expert, and then they open their mouths and start talking about the game and it’s 50% mindless yammering without actually discussing game mechanics, 10% correct and 40% made up bullshit, and they both love to ban spam their channels when someone points out how completely biased and full of shit they are.

PAPI: “We’re going to spend two to four weeks failing before making an announcement about more failure to come in the two to four weeks after that. Then we’ll spend two to four weeks planning the next announcement.”

I played Eve 2012-2017, and took a long break until this year. I play with some old friends now, and would like to know how we can come help our Goon friends…i used to be a Jr FC in Imperium. Who can I contact about it? Also, Papi has no idea the he’ll that is coming, there must be thousands of pilots like me that have not been in the war, but are coming back to the game…the retaliation will be long, painful, and destructive. Finally, I am excited to play Eve again!!

The best way to see which alliance your ex corps are atm, if those are not in Imp hit Karma Fleet with ref to the old days, so they might be able to quickly stick you up.

Agreed, any old leads you have in your friends network could be the fastest way back. Many an old goon popped up in 1DQ and were welcomed back with open arms by old friends.

KarmaFleet University (KFU), KarmaFleet and Ascendance are all great places. KFU is neutral and aimed for new players. But it is also a great way for bitter vets to get back in and dust off those skills while helping new players. KarmaFleet and Ascendance are both member corps of The Imperium. Getting in can take a bit of time depending on resources available and war status. Good luck in your continued Eve journey.

Umm correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t the Imperium just straight up steal about a months worth of SRP from sapi about a month back? How does sapi plan on convincing those people who lost ships and other crap into rejoining the game?

Good question, probably went into hiding since his leader’s own words work against his own arguments. That and having both Goons and non-goons debunk him on the reg can be discouraging.

Well given they’re not going to jump in capitals without some kind of foothold, the ONE main difference between this and all the failed attempts before it is, their willingness to throw away now extremely difficult to make Tech 3 Strategic Cruisers (which incidentally, are still very squishy ever since the nerf a few years ago). I guess they can port them in, to ihubs, which we will be watching like hawks anyway. But that still doesn’t mean they’re going to survive 45 minutes of reffing the thing. Even if they try that in all systems at once, it’s unlikely they’re going to survive long enough and then even if they succeed, they then have to win the constellation war, when the gates in and out are hell-camped and ready to woodchip their folks. I can’t see their strategy working without significant losses on their side. It’s curious though why they keep telegraphing all their moves well in advance. Silly people!

It’s not like we haven’t spent time thinking about that strategy before now…
