On September 26, the Tenerifis system of 3L3N-X saw intense fighting at approximately 0630UTC-0800UTC resulting in the loss of 7 Soviet-Union Wyverns. Gentlemen’s.Club saw their sovereign system spike with super-caps, in an effort by Soviet-Union to out-match Gentlemens Club’s Triage support. Gentlemens Club’s fleet along with massive supercarrier support from from Pandemic Legion quickly sprung into action eliminating all 7 fielded enemy Wyverns.
The Gentlemens Club, and Pandemic Legion fleet consisted mainly of T3 Strategic Cruisers, and Machariels with an astounding 45 of Pandemic Legion’s supercarriers. The Soviet-Union’s fleet was comprised mainly of Heavy Missile Cerberuses along with a small support of Strategic Cruisers as well. While both sides managed to field Logistics, the Soviet-Union’s sparse logi-fleet was unable to keep up with the amount of damage dealt by the defending Gentlmen’s Club forces.
In the end, the side of Gentlemen’s club suffered the loss of two dreadnaughts; one of Jabroni Cestus, and another of Viola Maskeline, as well as a handful of other ships resulting in approximately 14.02b Isk lost. Gentlemen’s Club losses, however, pale in comparison to the upset the Soviet-Union were dealt to the tune of an estimated 207.7b Isk lost. Interestingly, and for unknown reasons Soviet-Union undertook fire upon their own Wyverns, perhaps foreseeing their own demise and wanting to whore on their own loss-mails.
Recently Tenerifis has seen considerable conflict between Members of Gentlemen’s Club and allies against Soviet-Union in that corner of space. Both sides currently have stations within a few jumps from each other, and large-scale fights erupt on a daily basis. Word from Gentlemen’s Club diplomats stated that the fight was over a freeport event in C3-0YD that quickly escalated. This is not the first time this ongoing conflict has resulted in the escalation of super-caps, and it will likely not be the last.
![]() meandeane651 Intergalactic Fight Club Gentlemen’s.Club | “About a month and a half ago stainwagon (led mostly by Soviet Union) began to harass towers and sov in western Tenerifis. Our coalition (borderlands syndicate) has been contesting defensive timers and taking the fight into catch as well. The fight here resulted from the C3- freeport station timer. The fight for the station took place several systems away from C3- itself (its an odd notion, but welcome to fozziesov). 3L3N and the adjacent systems are the gateway to tenerifis from catch and have also been heavily contested. During this campaign we have been running a lot of triage, our alliance isn’t very experienced in it’s use, so we decided to use these engagements with SW as an opportunity to train up our triage pilots under live fire (you can tell someone how to run triage, but there is no substitute for experience). In some of the more recent engagements stainwagon has adapted and brought in supercaps to kill our triage and force us off the field. So for this fight we adapted to the new SW tactic and set up a situation where we would get SW to commit their supers to kill our triage and cyno in a heavier force of caps on top of them (Toucher could probably give more of the specifics on that). When the SW cyno went up our dictor pilots warped immediately onto it and bubbled the sueprs as they loaded grid. Once they were bubbled we bridged in PL’s t3 fleet and assorted hics/dics. Stainwagon subcapitals at this time were comprised of a mixed cerb/loki fleet. We focused fire on their subcaps, meanwhile the SW supers began to kill off our triage, with our reps diminished the massed cerb fire was breaking the machs, however the combined fire from GCLUB machs, PL t3s, and TEST bombing runs eventually forced them out of system to reship. At this point we cyno’d in a dread gang as well as some backup triage and began to work on the first wyvern. They managed to down 2 of our dreads before the PL super fleet arrived. Stainwagon had ditched their lokis and opted for a full cerb fleet and returned to the system as well. PL did an incredible job of preventing the cerb fleet from getting close enough to kill off all the tackle (the cerbs never got within 130 km of my sabre). GCLUB machariels are equipped with neuts, so our fleet remained close to the wyverns and began to apply neut pressure, killing any cerbs that got within artillery range. Initially the wyverns tanked pretty well against the combined power of a t3 fleet, mach fleet, and 7 dreads, but when PL cynoed in 46 supers that was the end for them.” |
Mister Toucher, the FC of the engagement for Gentlemen’s Club has been reached out to by TMC for comment, however at the time of publication word has not been received. We will update this article with responses, and more details when and if they arise.
