World War Bee: Week 29

Week 29 of World War Bee was almost exactly even with week 28, with 30 fights and 39 hostile actions. Delve and its environs dominated the action of the week.

INN’s cumulative theater tracker is still experiencing some database issues, but the link is here. Across New Eden, since July 1, the ISK split is 53.88% to 46.12% in favor of the Imperium, an increase in favor of PAPI for the first time in almost two months. INN has hand-calculated values for total losses and all belligerents have now lost 117.5 trillion ISK, an increase of 2 trillion week over week. 699,999 ships have been destroyed, an increase of 24 thousand week over week. The average ship lost has cost 167,895,000 ISK, a reduction of 3.8 million week over week. The real world cost of the war is no less than 1,829,000 USD/1,372,000 GBP/1,537,000 EUR.

There were six battles in week 29 that exceeded 20 billion ISK in total losses, excluding the border skirmish battle report of 1DQ1-A/T5ZI-S and the M2-XFE hellcamp. Three were strategic wins for the Imperium and three were strategic wins for the PAPI coalition.

The three major theaters are the North (Fountain and the border with Aridia and Cloud Ring as well as western Delve), the South (the rest of Delve, Querious, and Period Basis), and the East (Paragon Soul, Stain, and Esoteria).

As ever, the North remained a sort of Wild West, full of small gang PvP and raids. The action continued to be centered in Delve’s NJU-QV constellation into Fountain, home to the M2-XFE hellcamp, where the Imperium has over 300 PAPI titans trapped.

Sunday’s hellcamp saw the Imperium kill 14.2 billion for 4.1 billion in losses. Monday followed with another slow day at the camp, with the Imperium killing 20.6 billion for 8.3 billion in losses. Tuesday was more interesting as the Imperium killed 36.5 billion for 28.4 billion in losses. Wednesday was the biggest day of the week has a fleet of PAPI dreadnoughts appeared in M2-XFE to contest a Goon Raitaru anchoring in the system. The Imperium ultimately lost the citadel and the dreadnought fight with the day’s toll standing at 332.5 billion ISK dead to 185.5 billion killed.

Thursday quieted down again as the Imperium killed 21.6 billion for 24.6 billion in losses. Friday saw the Imperium destroy 29.8 billion ISK for 7.4 billion in losses. Saturday was one of the most interesting days as the PAPI coalition attempted their first major breakout of supercapitals from the armor timer fight at M2-XFE. Reports are spotty on exact numbers but it appears that some regular capitals were extracted while a handful of supercarriers made their escape as well, while a few were lost on the way out. The Imperium ultimately killed 111.2 billion for 30.3 billion in losses.

Monday in the East saw the Imperium kill a Fortizar in HED-GP, a border system from Catch into Curse. Tuesday saw The Initiative and the Bastion kill a TEST Fortizar in Esoteria, taking some logistics ships with in, killing 16.1 billion for 1.5 billion in losses. Wednesday, Dracarys lost an anchoring Fortizar in Catch to a combined PAPI force. Thursday, a third-party force of Tactical Supremacy killed a Legacy Fortizar. Saturday ended the week with another mixed group destroying a TEST Fortizar in Esoteria.

Sunday began with week in the South with Imperium member corps showing up to harass PAPI forces in GY6A-L, killing 3.6 billion for 1.4 billion in losses. The border skirmish battle report saw the Imperium kill 14.8 billion for 17.7 billion in losses across the 1DQ1-A/T5ZI-S divide. Monday saw the final Brave Newbies iHub in Querious die. The Imperium followed that up with a big fight over the 23G iHub in Delve, killing 3.8 billion ISK for 2.1 billion in losses and destroying the iHub. Towards the end of the day, the Imperium failed their attempt at rescuing the B-7 Keepstar iHub in Fake Querious, losing 85.6 billion to kill 34.9 billion ISK. The border skirmish battle report showed the Imperium killing 13.6 billion for 23.5 billion in losses. The Tuesday border skirmish battle report showed the Imperium killing 12.3 billion for 20.9 billion in losses.

Wednesday saw the Imperium lose two faction Fortizars deep in Period Basis to some PAPI raiding groups. The Imperium did catch a TEST Loki fleet on an Imperium jump gate, killing 12.5 billion for 1 billion in losses. The border skirmish battle report saw the Imperium kill 5.8 billion for 9.4 billion in losses on a sleepy day. Thursday, PAPI forces killed a Fortizar in AJI-MA, home to a bait cyno beacon. The Imperium later destroyed a Brave Astrahus in Querious, killing 3.3 billion for 136.6 million ISK. A small fight broke out in Fake Querious, with Goons losing 2.6 billion ISK to kill 206.4 million. The big action of the day in Delve saw big brawls across the SPNZ-Z constellation in Delve as the Imperium attempted to defend a pair of iHubs, one of which was reinforced and the other later saved during its node fight. The butcher’s bill had the Imperium killing 64.2 billion ISK for 45 billion in losses. The border skirmish battle report had the Imperium kill 6.8 billion for 18.1 billion in losses.

Friday, the Imperium lost an Astrahus in D-W7F0, where the fight cost Goons 7.1 billion ISK and PAPI 2.7 billion. Dracarys lost their iHub in E-VKJV on the doorstep to the 1DQ1-A constellation to PAPI forces, with the Imperium killing 3.7 billion ISK for 5.7 billion in losses. The border skirmish battle report showed the Imperium lost 24.4 billion ISK for 8.2 billion in kills. Saturday, an Imperium SIG showed up in Period Basis to challenge a TEST Drekavac gang, killing 1.2 billion for 411.9 million ISK in losses. There was more action in D-W7F0 as PAPI killed a pair of small citadels with the fight in total costing the Imperium 15.9 billion ISK for 5.2 billion in kills. Later in the day, an Imperium capital raiding gang got tackled coming back from Period Basis and killing a Rorqual, they killed 6.3 billion ISK for 24.7 billion in losses. Imperium forces also saved the PDE iHub in SPNZ-Z constellation in a brutal fight, losing 51 billion for 23.1 billion ISK. The week-ending border skirmish battle report saw the Imperium kill 15.3 billion ISK for 15.6 billion in losses.

Tuesday, a third-party group destroyed a Warped Intentions Fortizar in Immensea. Saturday, a group largely comprised of third-party attackers, destroyed a Fraternity Fortizar in Tribute, with the attackers destroying 28.2 billion ISK for 24.1 billion in losses. Reports from the Imperium suggested that English-speaking alliances in Fraternity and Winter Coalition at large were pulling their capital and supercapital assets back North to defend against the incursions by a group styling themselves The Free People of the North.

Of course one of the most notable departures of the week was Siberian Squad, one of the alliances who left Dead Coalition after the last war in the North, as they announced their exit from the Legacy Coalition. They put out an announcement in Russian and English on YouTube, confirming that their leader and senior FC Hanzo Viper was withdrawing them from Legacy. During his Legacy Townhall, conducted Sunday, Legacy leader Progodlegend confirmed that Siberian Squad was leaving but remarked that he had not felt like they were an integral part of the PAPI Coalition and expected them to move North to fight Banderlogs alliance.

The little guy piranhas are starting to realize papi (no caps) has nothing left in their home regions to play defense with and they are feasting. With test hanging brave out to dry in BOTH querious and cache you have to wonder when brave will rethink their membership in legacy and follow siberian squad out the door. Test is bleeding forts in Eso and Frat is taking a pretty good pounding up north. Vily should have seen this all coming, you can’t just empty your home for 7+ months and not expect someone to start burning shit down just to see what drops.

I love how the people up north named themselves as the Freemen of the North. In the back of my mind, I saw a lot of parallels to FRAT and the Others/White Walkers/Army of the Dead in Game of Thrones.
FRAT with their botting empire that’s hard to completely get rid of is basically their army of zombies living up north and swooping down south. PanFam could even be considered a FRAT puppet or part of the undead army.

I’m loving watching the way the war is going. It was so boring seeing the citadel killmails every day when Imperium was just conceding every fight. Now we have an actual war with both sides trading punches and getting bloody. And now random third parties are getting involved and starting their own small campaigns in various areas. Loving it.

I guess PAPI didn’t unite the whole rest of the universe against goons huh? Now the have to fight off others with the one hand which isn’t stuck in a bubble trap.

I see Imp lossing much more in terms of iskies plus this hellcamp breakthrough attempt was kind of successful cause 4 titans and a bunch of supers escaped while Imp has massive titan force and couldn’t do more damage.

M-2 is a battle still being lost. To think anything other than that is dishonest. I mean if you want to call it a PAPI victory then so be it. Not sure it reflects on you well though.

What I’m saying is that after a great victory of M2’s Imp keep lossing more in a much smaller skirmishes which indicate that TAPI still doing better from the isk side. Nothing to do with their “victory” since there is no such, except they keep harming your side while their morale and wish should be fallen.
