It appears the war drums of the East have begun their rhythm. On July 29, Red Alliance, lead alliance of the Red Menace Coalition, began reinforcing systems in The Spire. In retaliation, Triumvirate. began doing the same in Insmother, the ancestral homeland of Red Alliance. In roughly 850 Command Nodes were to be spawned. While the weekend hasn’t been rife with fights, a few have occurred, such as when RMC dunked Triumvirate. armor T3s in this battle.
TMC contacted Garst Tyrell, leader of Triumvirate. for information. He said that though most info must be kept secret for operational security reasons, but told us that they are beginning the war for multiple reasons. First, Triumvirate. wants to test out new doctrines in addition to wanting to test Fozziesov in a larger war, in contrast to the common small-gang fights common in Fozziesov.
There is also the matter of a grudge. Garst Tyrell said that “their [referring to Red Alliance] leadership is flaky and refused over and over to fight XIX with us despite swearing “they would fight to the end!” back in january when BL/SOLAR/TRI attacked XIX in cache.” He says that “RA got their sov and went afk, we are waking them up again.”
So, this appears to be in part a campaign of punishment for Red Alliance’s reluctance to assist during their recently closed war with the Geminate Coalition. Red Alliance is definitely on the defensive already, with just ten timers in The Spire (owned by TRI) and 48 in Insmother. Two systems have already fallen to Triumvirate. and more are likely to follow.
The first great war of Fozziesov may have just begun.
TMC would like to thank Garst Tyrell for their contributions. Red Alliance has been reached out to but has yet to reply to our inquiries.
