On December 17 at 01:11 EVE time, in the system of GK5Z-T in Insmother, a Ragnarok and its pod, belonging to MOMEHT uCTuHbI of Triumvirate (TRI), was destroyed by Pandemic Legion. While the titan was worth 109B ISK, TRI lost another 50B ISK during the engagement, losing an additional ten dreadnoughts and one Archon.
A video of the destruction can be seen below, thanks to Hero Guides of YouTube. The fleet commander can be heard calling for the halting of DPS on the titan at about the five minute mark, allowing for others to get on the killmail. Around seven minutes in, the FC even calls for supers to start repairing the Ragnarok.
Pandemic Legion Titan Kill With Coms (12/16/15)
As Pandemic Legion is well-known for its fishing out of titans to kill, there is little to say on the catch. However, TMC got a hold of Zentiy of Sniggerdly, who was flying a Flycatcher during the kill.
Zentiy: I can’t give you too much information, but it was pretty much standard fishing on our behalf. Since we are new to the area they didn’t realise how close we actually were to them. So we gave them something to go for and we knew that they had been lazy with making sure things were safe.
TMC: Where did you bring all of the subcaps from?
Zentiy: We waited it out in a wormhole within their region, when the chance came our subcaps jumped through and the rest is history.
TMC: Did the Ragnarok not try to get away or doomsday any of the capitals on field? It seems that the only capital ships that were on the field were super carriers and titans.
Zentiy: He was for sure trying to get out by aligning different places and whatnot, but we had so many points and dictors on him it was impossible. He was going to die no matter what.
Past Experience
This is not the first time MOMENT uCTuHbI has lost a titan. On May 27 of this year, in the system of QRH-BF in the region of The Spire, his first Ragnarok fell to an NC T3 strategic cruiser fleet. Seen in the video below, a fleet was waiting to be bridged into a fight into QRH-BF, as NC had tackled a few dreads nearby. In the video you can hear a pilot say “bridge up.” Instead of bridging, the titan jumped itself into the fray.
