Amid the mountains of CCP PR drama, with the June 13 release, the latest special event arrived in New Eden. Swarms of Rogue Drones are popping up all over New Eden, and CONCORD needs help clearing them out.
Pilots of all abilities are encouraged to assist in the elimination of these Rogue Swarm Nest sites. The Rogue Swarm Nests can be found as overview beacons all throughout New Eden. All you have to do is warp into the sites and clear out all hostiles.
Valuable items including PLEX, SKINs, drone blueprints, and Skill Accelerators can be recovered from the wrecks of Rogue Drone bosses. Also, the bigger the Drone boss the greater the chance of valuable rewards dropping in their wreckage.
Rogue Swarm Nests will be spawning in the cluster from June 13 to June 27. However, the sooner you can reap the rewards of the sites the better, as the market around some of the rewards (such as SKINs) are going to crash with the massive influx of units flowing into the market.
Capsuleer Reports
Thus far, the sites have been reported as being fairly easy to complete. On top of that, they appear to be dropping TONS of skins. Reddit user Soulprovider17 posted an image of the loot he claimed to have collected after running the sites for three hours on Singularity. His loot included thirty-one SKINs, many of which are for capital ships.
From Tranquility, there are reports confirming the amount of skins being dropped, as well as other loot including single PLEX (yes), and a lot of reprocessing loot. There were some suspicions that Elite Drone AI might drop, but as yet, no one has reported seeing any. There also is not much rogue drone loot in general dropping.
INN will be looking out for new information related to the Rogue Swarm Nests, but as of now encourage all capsuleers to help eliminate the swarm of Rogue Drones.
