In a staggering defeat for the Northern forces today, Imperium member alliance Snuffed Out (BBC) destroyed nearly 450 billion ISK worth of materiel including three titans and three supercarriers.
According to a report on Reddit, the Northern forces, primarily consisting of PanFam rental serfs Brothers of Tangra (B0T) and No Value (-X3-), were running a Blood Raiders Sotiyo site; the presence of Blood Raiders ships in the zKillboard BR confirms. Tackle was initially established and a small number of dreadnoughts were brought to attack the Northern titans. After clearing force auxiliaries, and alternating between targeting FAX and supers, a Northern Loki fleet was able to clear tackle allowing an Avatar to escape.
In total, the Northern forces lost three titans, three supercarriers, eight force auxiliaries, four carriers and five dreadnoughts, as well as a handful of subcapital ships. One titan, seven supercarriers, and four carriers were able to escape the attack. Snuffed Out committed 37 dreadnoughts, 16 carriers, and two FAX to the attack, as well as subcapital tackle. Of these, it lost only four dreadnoughts and a FAX, as well as subcapital odds and ends. Northern forces lost a total of 420 billion ISK in assets compared to Snuffed Out’s losses of only 19 billion ISK in one of the most lopsided routs of the war thus far.
Recently, misinformed advocates for the North have taken to calling Snuffed Out Imperium renters, instead of recognizing their status as valued members of the Imperium. Following this engagement, it is obvious that Snuffed has earned and continues to earn its place.
Pandemic Legion’s supercapital umbrella remains trapped in UALX-3, and the utter destruction today makes it obvious that without their supercapital fleet available, they are unable to provide protection for even supercapital-equipped renters in the North. It is unknown at this time for how long Northern renters will tolerate the obvious failure of their landlords to provide for their security, or whether the Northern rental alliances will compensate their considerable losses.
