The Next Crusade – The Fall of Kamela

2017-07-26

‘The Heroes of Saik’ coalition have slowly brought back order to Kamela. The Empire has reached out to the Minmatar Rebels with but one word: Surrender. Their message is clear: this crusade will not be stopped. What started off a rag tag group of crusaders has blossomed into a unified front. Along with various local groups, the Amarr Empire has had success at Saik, and now at Kamela. Braving the vast numbers amassed against them—not limited to, but including: The Minmatar Fleet, The Federation, ZZZ, backed by what seems to be the local pirates in the regions—the ‘Heroes of Saik’ still managed to reclaim the hostile and fortified territory.

The Heroes are comprised of: Two Maidens One Chalice, Mackies Raiders, No Handlebars, Crime.NET, BRIMTAK, The Company of Strangers, 24th Imperial Crusade, The Brown Coats, Empyrean Lance, Lazy Crabs, and even a token bee was present. Even those known as the Literally Anyone Coalition helped to curb the pirate threat in the region while the brave Crusaders assaulted the objective.

Notable heroes of the fall are Holy Hav0x, Dalamarr Shimaya, Healfdene, and Dubstepcat with many notable men like Gian Bal working on the control of the system. While a few names truly stand out in the battles, I’d be remiss to say it wasn’t what appears truly unified effort. Having talked to these men I can tell you, the morale is great, the leadership is there, and the skill is high. The Crusaders are here to stay.

In a desperate early morning push, the Crusaders claimed the system of Kamela for their own. Only time will tell if they can keep the momentum or if the Rebellion will push back and reclaim the system. What I do know is the Amarrian Empire is still vastly outnumbered and outgunned and looking for fresh blood. This Crusade will be successful, but it will be by the blood, sweat, and work put in by the Heroes and LAC. This is Johnny Crowe from Afghoonistan. Watch your six boys and good luck on your push forward!

It would be great if Provi-Block deployed or sent forces to help. It would fall into their narrative.

http://i.imgur.com/8FTDMw7.png seriously fact check and read through your article before making yourself look like an idiot

    • If only there had been a 7 day period in Ammarrage, UOIR and other comms channels where the author gave you, and the others present the pastebin of his article.

If only in that 7 day period the author had actually thought to look through his work and not base it off a Zkill BR which are known to be inaccurate. Seriously if you wanna be taken serious as a news network then these things should be basic procedures. Seriously just look at it, for example: ZZZ on minmatar side and lazy crabs on amarr side? Its the same corp… Funnily enough i dont sit there watching the amarrage channel 24/7 because i have other stuff to do… and I’m pretty sure I never saw the pastebin because I would have corrected it if I had. Not my fault if your reporters cant do simple checking of their work to make sure there arent any mistakes.

        • The basic procedure here is as follows:
The reporter talked to multiple individuals in the AmarrMilitia. As you know, because you were there when it happened.
You were active in the channels (note the plural use of channel here) when the author delivered the pastebin.
That individuals perhaps did not give correct information to the author is something you should take up with them.

I understand that you feel that information presented is incorrect, you also seem to think no one in amarr mil read the document prior to publishing, which is incorrect.

As you say, it is not your fault if the final work published is incorrect, but the information is only as good as the sources it comes from.

We now know to use different sources than Amarr Mil.

To be fair, the real inaccuracy here is that CRIME.NET did most of the heavy lifting and have been doing so consistently for the last three months. So i think you’re right, the source for this article seems to be more concerned about self promotion, I’m not seeing name drops for Salambi and his guys.

No Handlebars here; To clarify a point, we are not aligned to either party as our KB will clearly show. We did support anchoring a structure in a different system, but this is a service we’ll provide to anyone in the area, for a price.

I don’t understand these type of articles. Are they like small town newspapers who just jam the names of some locals in an article to jump readership into double digits?

The author wanted to give some coverage to an area of eve that we do not cover often.

I commend the intent. I guess I have never heard of this “Heroes of Saik” Coalition, and it just seems to be a mention of a few peoples names mixed in with some random facts.

Is it a news story? Opinion piece? something engaging rather than just factual data delivery and names would probably be more interesting. But i would like to encourage more FW coverage.

Hey guys, Author here. I want to start off by saying I’m sorry the information was incorrect. I went off what i was give by your own men and the information I could gleam from your different ingame and out of game communications. In no way did I desire to put out something you all wernt happy with. Which is why I did what a writer normally doesn’t and sent you all a pastebin on the 22nd so early in the morning so we could circumvent all of this. Though it did not happen. That said the way I see it is there are three options here.
Option one: You send an updated list evemail to Johnny Crowe with
    Allies:
    Enemies:
    Neutrals:
In plain English and I’ll happily fix it for you. Like i literally tried to do for you all yesterday before shut up bee became your main point. Happily.

Option two: You just say welp and continue on with your lives. Knowing full well we don’t intend to tell your story anymore and take our sincere and professional apologies.

Option three: You continue on this same rant Hitler and I write an article on what trying to follow this faction was like. I let the world know how much you all care about past corps. I let them know you treat everyone like a spy. I let them know how you roll your own dudes under the bus in comms. Shit on dudes who were just trying give you all e glory. I let them know how Quinlin and Gian treat newbies who join the faction. I really think this would be a great article that has wonderful flavor along with a lot of ‘shhh its a bee’ whatever you fine gentlemen want.

Had an alt in amarr fw and most of the work was done by Crime.net some of theses corps and alliances you mentioned, had little to no affect. Most the time no name will be given would tell his members to go some where and use them as a meat shield so his killboard would look like he did all the work.
