Over the last few weeks, the lowsec area of Metropolis has become a battleground between Dead Terrorists (IKILU)/ FETID (FETID) and a cooperative lead by Blinky Red Brotherhood (B.R.B) and No Handlebars. (SWEG.).
Background
Dead Terrorists (IKILU) have been residents and a PvP powerhouse within the area for many years. Just under a month ago, the German corporations Stille Gewalt (M4CHT) and Paxi-Fixi. (FIXI.) within Dead Terrorists had become dissatisfied. They separated to join the Blinky Red Brotherhood, a rapidly growing alliance, which is working alongside No Handlebars. (SWEG.) Together, these alliances are able to bring a significant amount of force to bear within the area.
FETID are also long-term residents of the area, and have been historically on mixed terms with Dead Terrorists. Recently, Dead Terrorists and FETID have combined forces to combat the Blinky Red Brotherhood/No Handlebars. cooperative.
Current Conflict
The current fighting is centred around valuable moon mining POS’. Blinky Red Brotherhood/No Handlebars. have been reinforcing Dead Terrorists’ moons in the area. On November 12, a fight occurred while Dead Terrorists were repairing a POS in the Heimatar Region at 20:33 EVE Time in Auga.
Whilst repairing the POS, Dead Terrorists, fielding a 33 man fleet, came under heavy fire from a 53 man B.R.B/SWEG. fleet. Dead Terrorists were in a T3 fleet supported by triage, and B.R.B/SWEG. fielded a similar T3/triage fleet supported by Naglfars. Dead Terrorists soon lost two of their Archons and it was then they made the call to bring in FETID to assist. FETID cynoed in with two supercapitals, two dreads and battleships. The FETID supercarriers made short work of the enemy capitals and turned the tide of the battle, managing to save the POS. B.R.B/SWEG. lost 15.28 billion ISK worth of ships, and IKILU/FETID lost 16.17 billion in spacecraft.
More recently, a battle broke out in the Metropolis region on November 14 at 23:45 EVE time in Egmar.
This fight was set to go down in No Handlebars’ home system, so a large response was expected. The POS was owned by Dead Terrorists and reinforced by No Handlebars. Again, Dead Terrorists called on FETID to assist. They formed a 58 man fleet to defend the tower, with B.R.B/SWEG. responding with a 60 man fleet. Both sides fielded Battleship/T3 fleets with two Archons for triage support. IKILU/FETID fielded a greater number of Bhaalgorns and Guardians. B.R.B/SWEG. initially warped in at range, and then warped in on top of the IKILU/FETID logistics.

Logistics ships were traded in the battle, and after a while, B.R.B/SWEG. started losing battleships. A cyno was lit on the B.R.B/SWEG. side and two Archons were called in for back up. Both decided to go into triage and, as unable to support each other, were quickly neutralised by the IKILU/FETID Bhaalgorns and DPS. Having lost the logistics war B.R.B/SWEG. quit the field.
In the end, B.R.B/SWEG. lost 9 billion ISK worth of ships with minimal losses on the IKILU/FETID side.
During the battle, a small frigate gang from The WeHurt Initiative (FIGHT) participated in the brawl. Capping off the excitement, Pandemic Legion (-10.0) warped in a Tengu fleet to try and make their mark on the killmails. Unfortunately, their timing was poor, and the fight had all but ended as they arrived.. They succeeded in killing one frigate before making their way home.
I spoke with sharp as, Director of FETID, who provided me with much of the background to this story. He said that he welcomes the new content in the area, and is looking forward to many more good fights in the future. As this conflict continues in Metropolis, TMC will continue to bring you the highlights.
TMC has reached out to Letelio Denum (IKILU), Citricioni (B.R.B) and Baltrom (SWEG.) for comment via evemail and will update this article with their responses, as well as player recorded videos when available.
