Incoming message, Commander!
‘Mass Effect: Andromeda release date now confirmed for Holiday 2016.’
That’s right soldier. Party time is over. Time to get your ass down to the firing range. We will soon have a new galaxy to save.
Bioware had previously announced a release window of Holiday 2016 when they revealed Mass Effect: Andromeda at E3 in June. That release window was confirmed today on the Mass Effect Facebook page.
As you will recall in our previous coverage, Bioware’s new adventure will take you – as a new protagonist – to a vastly larger unexplored galaxy: Andromeda. There you will explore a sprawling series of more or less hostile solar systems in search of resources and a suitable new home for humanity.
You will find evidence of a once powerful alien race, the Remnant, and will need to unlock the key to their technology.
Along the way you will hone your untested skills in combat, bond with your new crew and exercise your judgment in difficult situations in the hallmark fashion of the Mass Effect franchise.
The game will be powered by the Frostbite game engine (the same one that powers Dragon Age and Battlefield 4) and will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
