The Imperium experienced a little bit of trouble in paradise recently. A Goon titan and super carriers were responding to what likely seemed to be a routine tackled ratter. Little did they know that PL dreads were waiting to drop in at a moments notice.
Stunted Intel
Reports came into the standing fleet about a Rattlesnake owned by ASCEE member spawnabomination being tackled in AJI-MA by the infamous Stunt in a Nidhoggur. With attractive bait like that, it didn’t take long for the standing fleet to warp in a group of super capitals and a titan. It turns out that spawnabomination was indeed bait in every sense of the term. Once the standing fleet supers were on grid they immediately knew something was up, as they found multiple cynos already lit in the area.
Unfortunately it was too little too late, as Stunt tackled some of the fleet and proceeded to drop a cyno inhibitor. A second backup super cap fleet was spun up in hopes of saving the first fleet, but the cyno inhibitor prevented them from responding as quickly as they would’ve liked. While all this was happening PL dreadnaughts were being cyno’d in by Skinny Chick, who had likely been cloaked up on grid until just the right moment.
Supers Down!
Though the Imperium managed to get a cyno lit and backup fielded, the damage was done. Three supercarriers, a titan, two FAX, and three carriers all met their demise at the hands of the PL dread-bomb, resulting in a 198b ISK loss for the GSF side compared to the 53b ISK lost on PL’s side of things.
The Imperium back up fleet did manage to chase the PL dreads away. PL didn’t leave unscathed either, having lost 20 dreads and a FAX and carrier of their own, with Stunt losing his Nidhoggur. In the aftermath, spawnabomination was kicked from ASCEE, and lessons were learned! As ASCEE continues to grow, one has to wonder if this will serve as an indication that recruitment processes may need to be tightened.
We did approach Tiberizzle for comment, who was FC for the back up fleet. We’ll add any information as we receive it.
