Coalition of Free Wormhole Corporations invade QEX homehole, Polaris

In J150020 (Polaris) on the May 30 at 17:00, a band of small wormhole corporations known as the “Coalition of Free Wormhole Corporations” (CoFWC) faced off against a combined Quantum Explosion [-QEX-], Hard Knocks Citizens [HKRAB], and Lazerhawks [LZHX] force. CoFWC, comprised of Hole Control [HOLE], Unsettled. [UNSET], Arctic Light [ARCLI], and others, were attempting to harass QEX in their home wormhole, acquired in the wake of the previous occupants vacating the hole. QEX still holds the system and won the ISK war by about 3 billion ISK.

CoFWC mainly used an Ishtar and Vexor Navy Issue fleet, while QEX and company fielded a triage Chimera, two Naglfars, a Nidhoggur, Tengus, Lokis, and Proteuses. CoFWC inflicted 13.2 billion ISK in damage while QEX punched back for 16.6 billion ISK.

Calaretu, representing UNSET, posted a “Love Letter” to QEX on the Eve Online forums earlier in the day before the battle:

Dear Quantum Explosion.

Today is a day I never thought I would see myself in, but here I am. Orbiting your static in your staging system. All your towers and pocos reinforced. We came with a few others. You probably noticed. You may wonder why we are here. If it’s the final revenge of the unknown corps that most people don’t even know about. And even though several of us may have a reason for revenge, this is not that day. Today is about just making a statement. That we oppose your way of evicting active corps in high end wormholespace to install renters. This is not about evictions in themselves as that is just part of wormholespace. But swapping active corps for renters is not acceptable.

As such we have in a way already accomplished what we came for. From this day you will always remember the pure subcap fleet that reinforced your tower in 15 minutes. The fleet that needed no seeding and could resurface at a moments notice. Will you meet this fleet in every eviction you try? Not likely. At least not with all the same entities every time. But for every eviction you do the possible fleet that can meet you will grow. And we will always know what you do. Even some of your own members support us.

In closing: Max, what you have accomplished with your corp is amazing and far beyond what most others accomplish. I hope you all find your way back to your roots and the true spirit of wormholespace.

On behalf of a bunch of guys and girls

– Calaretu

MaxDEL, CEO of QEX and Fleet Commander for the engagement, only responded for comment by linking a response made by one of his members to the thread:

Thanks for Love letter

So, dear strong crabs – result http://s017.radikal.ru/i439/1505/15/63b49a44494b.png

Battle for control static.

Was be

150+ united coalition of carebears (UCC) vs 35 QEX (+2 nidhoggur in non related)

ratio of 5/1 and you lose

At the same time our seo is a business trip and commanded this battle in cafe on free WiFi

This fight is part of an ongoing conflict in W-Space as CoFWC tries to defend high-value C6 and C5 wormhole systems from evictions by the larger wormhole corporations, such as Band of Magnus [BOBAS] from J144420 or The Dark Space Initiative [TDSPI] from J142528. CoFWC oppose these evictions as trying to make room for renters, both sides labelling each other “carebears” and “krabs”. This particular engagement was intended as retaliation for the attempted eviction of Gambrini [GRMBL] from J151325, in which Hole Control, Unsettled., and United W-Corps [UWC] aided defenders Gambrini in successfully repelling QEX, Battletech Technology [BTTT], and Lazerhawks; a battle that likely was the first showing of the CoFWC coalition.

TMC has reached out to involved parties’ diplomats for comment via evemail and will update this article with their responses.
