CCP Weekly Wrap-Up: January 12-18

Another week, another update. CCP has been slacking this month, so we only have a single piece of information to give you, and we can’t even shore it up with a dev blog. Also, unless you move fast, you’ll probably miss out on it. Speaking of moving fast, let’s get on with it.

Abyssal Proving Grounds, 4-Player Tech 1 Cruiser Free For All

Shame CCP doesn’t schedule things around our Weekly Updates! This event sounds like a fun one, but it ends on January 19th, which is the day this article gets printed. You can still look up the leaderboards though, so check that out for sure.

The event is a four player free-for-all in Tech 1 cruisers. That means the Bellicose, Blackbird, Caracal, Celestis, Maller, Moa, Omen, Rupture, Stabber, Thorax,  and Vexor. Modules are limited to Meta 5, so no Faction/Deadspace/Officer/Abyssal modules. Also restricted are pirate implant sets. Sounds like a blast if you participated or if you read this in time to get a few rounds in! For all you budding PvPers out there, this is an excellent opportunity to test your mettle and probably pick up a trick or two, so definitely get involved and watch for more of these in the future.

That’s Literally It

That’s all we have for today. I guess even Icelanders (Icelandicans?) need breaks, though, so we won’t rip on them too much. They already get enough of that for their balance passes.

If you’re still feeling rage, go post on Reddit, where you can learn the meaning of whatever the rage equivalent of Dunning-Krueger is called. Or, take it out on your poor opponents in the Proving Grounds!
