Earlier today, CCP Falcon announced that the Dust 514 forums would be shut down permanently on September 29th, 2017, saying:
Good afternoon Mercs,
As part of our roadmap to overhaul the web presence for our titles, we’ve come to the decision to discontinue operation of the DUST 514 forums as we move to fully replace the forum software we use.
While the forums will be shutting down, we encourage Mercs who are still interested in continuing discussion to join the DUST 514 Veterans Discord, which can be found here.
The DUST 514 forums will be discontinued as of this Friday, September 29th.
Be sure to keep a keen eye on the news for future information on Project Nova, the PC-based first-person shooter currently in development by CCP.
It will be sad to see the Dust 514 forums go, which outlasted Dust 514 itself by almost a year and a half. However, it comes with the hope that someday Project Nova will finally be released, alongside a set of fresh new forums.
