BREAKING: Titans Down in Pure Blind, Major Dreadbomb Takes a Toll

Early on March 24, several DARKNESS. titans were destroyed by a massive dreadbomb by various combined lowsec and southern forces in the Pure Blind system of ROIR-Y.

The initial engagement that sparked the severe response was reported to have been four Goonswarm Federation citadels in the process of anchoring. Guardians Of The Galaxy (GOTG) coalition brought in long-range Titans with minimal carrier and Force Auxiliary support, leaving them vulnerable to sustained damage from close-range dreadnoughts. Combined forces from the opposing side brought in over 150 dreadnoughts on top of the Darkness fleet. Based on available reports, 5 GOTG titans have been killed, along with numerous support capitals and subcapitals.

Additional northern forces, including Pandemic Horde and Northen Coalition., converged into the area with their own subcapital and capital/supercapital forces to provide support to the GOTG offensive. Horde produced an anti-support subcapital fleet, while NCdot swiftly moved their own supercapital support from 15W-GC, taking advantage of the recent Jump Fatigue changes, which went live to Tranquility on March 20.

An initial battle report can be viewed here. Please be aware that this battle report is preliminary and does not include all kills. Equally, due to the nature of this engagement, the stance of each individual alliance may be more difficult to ascertain, though INN is confident in the represented parties in the battle report.

In an unusual twist of events, representatives of CONCORD’s Interstellar Services Department were also noticed in ROIR-Y during the conflict, investigating the fight and consequential escalations. Their intentions are as yet unknown.

Funny how it’s easier to create things like this by poking at the North isn’t it? Makes you wonder why some groups waste their time in the South. Just hit that reset.

I am impressed that the servers held up after the way the client has been this week.

Perhaps the servers held up so well because the clients were running slower and sending less data?
