Early on March 24, several DARKNESS. titans were destroyed by a massive dreadbomb by various combined lowsec and southern forces in the Pure Blind system of ROIR-Y.
The initial engagement that sparked the severe response was reported to have been four Goonswarm Federation citadels in the process of anchoring. Guardians Of The Galaxy (GOTG) coalition brought in long-range Titans with minimal carrier and Force Auxiliary support, leaving them vulnerable to sustained damage from close-range dreadnoughts. Combined forces from the opposing side brought in over 150 dreadnoughts on top of the Darkness fleet. Based on available reports, 5 GOTG titans have been killed, along with numerous support capitals and subcapitals.
Additional northern forces, including Pandemic Horde and Northen Coalition., converged into the area with their own subcapital and capital/supercapital forces to provide support to the GOTG offensive. Horde produced an anti-support subcapital fleet, while NCdot swiftly moved their own supercapital support from 15W-GC, taking advantage of the recent Jump Fatigue changes, which went live to Tranquility on March 20.

In an unusual twist of events, representatives of CONCORD’s Interstellar Services Department were also noticed in ROIR-Y during the conflict, investigating the fight and consequential escalations. Their intentions are as yet unknown.
