Breaking news: Super fight in Insmother. Solar fleet loses 450B

The New Year got off to an explosive start with a super cap fight in 5C-RPA in Insmother.

It seems like a drop on Fraternity. went horribly wrong for Solar Fleet. Piecing together the string of events from the timeline it looks like Solar fleet dropped titans onto a small group of subcaps.

This escalated quickly, fleets were scrambled to engage the titans, swiftly resulting in both sides deploying super fleets.

The current battle report shows over 450b isk lost on Solar Fleet side. The number of FAX present on the Solar Fleet side was in single digits, which is unusually low for such a large commitment of supercapitals, and no doubt contributed to the losses.

At the time of writing, the battle report shows three Titans and five Supercarriers down on the Solar side, with only 28B lost on the Fraternity side.

With the recent influx of players from Serenity, the traditionally quiet AUTZ is starting to become more active.  While Fraternity. are the most well known of the groups from Serenity, there are other smaller groups, including a large number of the players present at this fight from Ranger Regiment.  Fraternity are ahead, for now, in terms of ships, but it will be interesting to see how it develops as the rest of the players train up into larger ships.

Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated that Ranger Regiment were with Solar Fleet.
