In J152820 on July 27, It Must Be Jelly Because Jam Don’t Shake (P-NAH) and allies No Vacancies fought That Escalated Quickly (M8WTF), and allies Dead Terrorists and Shadow Cartel. The brawl was sparked by an intrusion into wormhole sites, and escalated into a fight that downed 43 billion ISK and resulted in the deaths of six capital ships. A link to the battle report can be found here.
M8WTF and allies used armor T3s and Bhaalgorns to fight P-NAH and allies’ shield Lokis and Tengus with capital and shield Bhaalgorn support. The fight took place in P-NAH’s home system, a C5-C5 Pulsar, a wormhole that gives significant boosts to shields. Nevertheless, P-NAH and allies lost the battle and over over 31 billion ISK while M8WTF and allies lost at least 6.85 billion ISK in return. Totals are not accurate as the battle report is messed up.
When contacted for response, Aekro, CEO of P-NAH member corporation Limited Power Inc replied with this extremely eloquent response, so good I could not help but relay a transcript.
Hello,
First up we’d like to provide a TL;DR version of events in a lovely gif.
Fresh from our glorious return from a weekend killing noobships and T1 frigs in a god-forsaken HS island as part of our ‘Summer Content War of 2015’ War: It Must Be Jelly Cause Jam Don’t Shake vs. Fredegar Hohenstaufen Corporation, we returned to our C5-C5 Pulsar wormhole, known affectionately as ‘Whistlepig’ tonight (27/7/2015) to do some actual WH stuff.
We were all feeling a little squeezed on the wallet front and we just so happened to have a C5 Shattered wormhole (J004921 ) connected directly to Whistlepig, what luck! 110 juicy anoms including C5 and C6 combat sites; which spawn in a C5 shattered hole for those that may not be as familiar with WHs, were ripe for the taking. We formed a Gila + Basi site fleet for the task, and delved into the ISKy blackness beyond.
Granted we’re wormholers, so we had scouted the system a while earlier and immediately before entering the system, so we were aware of all connections including a C5 with a small corp inside, two Null-Secs and a Low-Sec to Sahtogas which had a few [M8WTF] guys inside. Simple enough, stick a scout on it and get on with business we said. We also nearly caught a rolling Thanatos in that same hole by a cat’s whisker, but that’s another story…
I myself had a CovOps on the LS hole and part-way through our very first C6 combat site I saw a [M8WTF] scanner jump into the hole. After calling this on TS and for the fleet to be on more of an alert, we continued with our next site. After 30 or so seconds of sweet Gila-based ISK-making I started to hear WH activiations… A large [M8WTF] fleet was jumping in, Between 5-8 Guardians, many Proteus, a few other assorted bits and pieces, oh and a Sabre. We knew what was coming. We regrouped and prepared to fight them. Unfortunately the Guardians had a lot of tank to break for 3 Basis and 6 or 7 Gilas and we lost our Logi pretty quickly, after popping the Sabre of course.
We called the retreat back to Whistlepig and left a few behind to act as sweet sweet bait while we reshipped and reformed to a Shield-T3 fleet with Caps on standby. Meanwhile I began an 8 jump slog back to the hole on my podded main and alt, who coincidently would go on to lose a Chimera and Naglfar respectively!
Our defence fleet formed on the hole as we warped in a mighty shield Bhaalgorn (yay can you spell tri-boxing?), Mylier in a Niddhoggur triage and assorted DPS. We held field comfortably in terms of reps, but neither side could break the other. About 10 minutes passed before I got my cap pilots back from their very short forced High-Sec trip. At this point Aekro warped in a Chimera and began to set the triage-dance in motion with the Nidd before he suffered too greatly from the neut pressure.
Next we brought in Dreadnaughts from San Tadaruwa and a Thanatos from Jovian Irura to help bring more DPS to the field. A Bhaalgorn dies “WOO WE KILLED SOMETHING!” cries out on Teamspeak. 1 Minute later my now-neglected tri-boxed shield Bhaalgorn dies after a heroic 403,677 damage tanked. A fair exchange, if not in price…!
Steadily we started to pick off components of their fleet, a Legion here, another Bhaalgorn there, and even a heroic Guardian that tanked 244,029 damage. The fight to-and-fro’d for a while, with them retreating back to the Wormhole as we started to establish better control of the field. Don’t get me wrong, it was tight, both DPS and tank was high from both sides, with plentiful neut pressure from the 4 Bhaalgorns (boosted by 86% by the C5 Pulsar effect) on their side causing sever cap issues with our Capitals.
Then it happened..
They started to pull away from the WH again and approach our cap fleet now sitting about 35km from the hole. Wormhole activations followed. We d-scanned.
The bat-phone had arrived, looks like k-space had come to party! We sent out our own calls to nearby WH corps, receiving replies from No Vacancies,
Odin’s Call, WormHole Occupation and Resource Exploitation and The Desolate Order. Unfortunately only [NVACA] were close enough to respond immediately.
At this point we had 2 Chimeras, 1 Nidd, a Moros, a Thanatos and 3 Naglfars committed to the fight, and they were locked down hard. Our Triage was separated from our Dread group and out of refit range, and Triage Carriers were cycling in and out like a well oiled machine. They tanked well, but our fleet was now dropping like flies by this point. But our members kept warping back in, in smaller and smaller ships as we ran out of everything with a gun and shield tank.
The result was sealed by this point, boom goes a cap, and another, and another. No Vacancies arrives….! And then dies instantaneously. Shout out to those guys for reacting so quickly, and literally yoloing in to help us out.
All told we enjoyed the fight, we should have closed the hole on the fleet and trapped them in/prevented the Dead Terrorist batphone, but hindsight is 20/20 right? (I Hate those sayings..).
I think someone said it lasted 2 and a half hours all told, from initial engagement of the Gila fleet to us escalating at home, to the eventual blob of doom that killed us all.
I think that about sums it up!
Get in touch with me for anything else you’d like to know,

Dead Terrorists then had to painstakingly find a route back to lowsec after an evening of fun.
TMC would like to thank Aekro pf P-NAH and Letelio Denmun of Dead Terrorists for their contributions.
