With October quickly approaching, CCP has released a bit more information about the Alliance Tournament ship prizes, the Caedes, and the Rabisu. Let’s take a closer look!
CAEDES
The Caedes is a Blood Raider Cov Ops frigate that takes the strengths of the Cruor frigate, and adds cov ops functionality. In terms of strategy, this ship seems likely to be a great candidate for sneaking up on an important target, and draining their cap before they knew what hit ‘em. Don’t take our word for it though, let’s dazzle you with some stats:
Caedes
Amarr Frigate Bonus per level:
- 20% bonus to Energy Nosferatu and Energy Neutralizer drain amount
- 25% bonus to Small Energy Turret falloff range
Minmatar Frigate Bonus per level:
- 20% bonus to Stasis Webifier range
- 20% reduction in Cloaking Devices CPU requirement
Covert Ops Bonus per level:
- 10% bonus to Core and Combat Scanner Probe strength
- 25% bonus to Energy Nosferatu and Energy Neutralizer falloff range
Role Bonus:
- 400% bonus to Small Energy Turret damage
- 10+ bonus to Relic and Data Analyzer virus strength
- Can fit Covert Ops Cloaking Device and Covert Cynosural Field Generator
- Cloak reactivation delay reduced to 5 seconds
- No targeting delay after Cloaking Device deactivation
- Energy Nosferatu fitted to this ship will drain targeted ship’s capacitor regardless of your own capacitor level

Capacitor (amount / recharge / cap per second) : 500 / 217.5s / 2.3
Mobility (max velocity / agility / mass / align time): 375 / 3.6 / 1,200,000 / 5.99s
Drones (bandwidth / bay): 10 / 30

Corpse Bay: 60m3
The Caedes sports one less turret than a Cruor, but has 5 low slots instead of 4. The 400% bonus to Small Energy Turret damage, as well as the 25% bonus to Small Energy Turret Falloff more than makes up for having one less turret, and will make it a bit easier for the pilot to pick their battles. With the bonus to Relic and Data Analyzer strength, the Caedes could actually serve as a good exploration ship as well, for those lucky enough to obtain one. You may have also noticed that the Caedes has an added bay called the “Corpse Bay”, and it is exactly what it sounds like: a bay for storing the bodies of your foes. Corpse collectors will rejoice, as they could potentially hold 30 corpses in a Caedes without even touching the cargo hold!
RABISU
The Rabisu would compliment the Caedes well in a fleet, being the Blood Raiders’ Logistics Cruiser offering with the added capability of using a cov ops cloak. This added functionality makes the Rabisu only the 2nd cloaking logistics cruiser in Eve, as well as the first with bonuses for armour repping.

Of note is the Rabisu’s ability to only fit 3 Mid slot items, which may limit fitting options somewhat. That said, the Rabisu is designed to rely less on a team of logistics cruisers cap chaining, and moreso on its ability to drain the power of its foes and, in an emergency, its allies as well. A fleet of armour tanked cov ops ships would do well to bring a Rabisu with them as support if they’re so lucky to have one available, as just one could mean the difference between victory and defeat. The Rabisu also features a corpse bay much like the Caedes’, only larger. With 200m3 of corpse storing ability, Eve Taxidermists can bring along a whole 100 corpses along with them. Maybe the corpse bays are a hat tip to the covert nature of the Caedes and Rabisu, that they clean up the scene of the crime so that there’s no trace left? We may never know.
Along with the PLEX prizes being offered, these ships will be a welcome addition to the winner’s ship hangar. Keep your eyes peeled for more AT news as the tournament date draws nearer!
