At approximately 05:30 Eve Time, a fleet belonging to The Bastard Cartel incited a supercapital drop from Circle-of-Two, one jump outside their sov staging system in Impass.
TBC’s Augoror Navy Issue fleet tore down a CO2 Hurricane squadron, jumping in a Ninazu to triage their fleet. CO2 reshipped and brought a cyno for the second round. During the fight, CO2 escalated by jumping in a Wyvern and Avatar on the Ninazu – taking the bait.
Through the counter-cyno came a Great Wildlands Conservation Society dreadbomb of fierce and fiery temper, and blasts of energy, explosives, and antimatter ripped the supercapitals apart.
Circle-of-Two refrained from bringing further reinforcements into the battle, and GWCS was able to loot the field and extract their entire force sans a Redeemer and the TBC Ninazu, according to a GWCS FC who agreed to comment on the attack.
GWCS, seemingly a relatively new power bloc in the scope of New Eden’s history, has lately been racking up an imposing reputation for striking with incredible force, often at great distance from their home region. This crushing blow appears to be yet another in what may be a long string of attacks in the time to come.
