Following the January release, CCP Seagull has provided an update on recent additions and upcoming features to EVE Online. You find the video embedded below, but here are the key notes:
- Check out the new camera and settings which were released on January 12. To give it a go, check the box in your esc menu, under general settings (experimental features).
- The new launcher is out of beta. It is now the default download, and can be found in the support section of the community page. It includes support for settings profiles, multiple account and access to test servers.
- Skill trading will be added with planned deployment on February 9.
- Construction of the first ever Astrahus Class Citadel by the Upwell Consortium is planned to start on January 25. Players can get involved with contributions and construction materials. Rewards will be given to those that participate. Look out for ingame news and dev blogs on how to get involved.
- The citadel expansion is in development, and has a planned spring release. Work is progressing on: module fitting in citadels, force auxiliary capitals, and fighter control. Check out the latest work on the video.

Homemade citadel Contest
Along with the upcoming citadel expansion, CCP have announced a ‘Homemade citadel’ contest. Create your very own citadel from whatever you find in your house, and send in a picture of it. The best submissions will be shown on the o7 Show on January 28, with PLEX and skin prizes on the line for the top three submissions. Contest submissions go to [email protected] with the subject ‘My homemade Citadel’.

#EVEfanfest Memories Contest
With Fanfest 2016 drawing closer, CCP have orgainsed the #EVEfanfest Memories Contest. Tweet your favourite picture from previous Fanfests using the #evefanfest hashtag, along with a short description of what makes the image so entertaining or special.
Each day, two winners will be contacted by CCP Falcon by direct message on twitter. Prizes will selected randomly and include: PLEX, game time, pirate rookie frigates, and signed EVE books. On the final day a grand prize will be awarded of:
- 120 days game time
- Ten PLEX
- Pair of EVE Online Shot Glasses
- Signed copy of each of the EVE Novels
- Signed Commissioned Officer Edition of EVE
- Signed EVE: Source Limited Edition
- Signed EVE Universe: The Art of New Eden
- Signed copy of the orginal “Art of EVE”
- Randomly selected faction beer glasses
- Assorted packs from EVE: The Collectible Card game
- And if attending Fanfest 2016: The grand prize winner and a friend will get a guided tour hosted by CCP Guard and CCP Falcon, lunch at CCP, and a signed set of concept art prints and photographs on the set of the o7 Show.
The competition has begun, and will run through until downtime Friday, January 29.
