Throwdown in Taisy

Region: Lonetrek

System: Taisy

On May 4, just after 19:30 EVE time, forces from Stainwagon clashed with CO2 over a tower reinforcement timer in M-OEE8. The fight began in M-OEE8, but quickly leaked over into the lowsec system of Taisy.

C02 Enlightening Fight In Taisy

CO2 fielded one Apostle, eighteen dreadnoughts, and a large Machariel fleet, while their agressors brought five Force Auxiliaries supporting a nearly 120-pilot Rattlesnake fleet. Snuffed Out and Project.Mayhem. also came to the brawl in a Nightmare fleet.

By the time Snuffed Out and 16-13 had bridged and warped to the fight in Taisy, CO2 was losing five Machariels for every Rattlesnake they killed, as Rattlesnakes deal more than twice the DPS of Machariels. With both sides fielding triage, it seemed CO2 was unable to tank the incoming fire. Snuffed Out and 16-13 saw this as an opportunity to help CO2. The combined Snuffed Out and 16-13 fleet landed 80km off the fight and began focusing fire on the Rattlesnakes.

With help on their side, CO2 and friends were able to two-shot some of the Rattlesnakes right off the field; however, CO2 had lost over seventy battleships, and overall DPS was falling. Their fleet commander, Gigx, decided to bring in the pain and dropped a dreadnought ball on grid to destroy the enemy triage. After the Rattlesnake fleet’s triage fell, Stainwagon was forced off the field.

A Pandemic Legion/Northern Coalition AHAC fleet was a few jumps out, and Mercenary Coalition came in Cerberuses, but both fleets were too late to help with the fight. At the end of the fight, Stainwagon dealt nearly 40B ISK in damages to CO2 and friends while losing 31B ISK themselves, losing five FAXs, and fourty-one battleships.
