A dead end system in Detorid became a sudden hot zone of violent activity as forces from various affiliations converged on a Sotiyo earlier today, as part of a campaign by Triumvirate to wrest control of sovereignty from The Pestilent Legion.
The Sotiyo, entering a structure and thus kill timer, was struck down by a Triumvirate capital and Machariel fleet. The fleet in question was met with a counterattack by a Goonswarm Cerberus fleet and a dreadbomb from NullSechnaya Sholupen and their allies.
Though damage reports are still coming in, more than 200 billion isk in ships and structures has been destroyed. With the Vanguard Coalition experiencing recent internal turmoil, such a fight could solidify or upset the state of alliances in the days to come.
