CCP announced on July 15 that it will be holding the first ever EVE Instagram screenshot contest. Though screenshot contests have been held before, this is the first time they’ve used Instagram as their platform for doing so.
With this contest being conducted on Instagram, it only made sense that things such as “filters” or other editing techniques are allowed to be used, although artists are asked to “be reasonable” with their editing. This means that it’s not necessarily about who has the best raw shot, but potentially a combination of good composition and some solid editing that could take the win!
To enter the contest, make sure that you’re following @eveonline on instagram, and that you include the #eveonline hashtag in the caption of any of the photos you’d like to submit! After that, it’s all up to the judges!
The contest will be running from July 15 to August 5, so that gives you plenty of time to get the perfect shot and get it submitted. Not only that, but there is no limit to how many screenshots you can submit, so the more you submit the better your chances of walking away with the prize! Speaking of prizes, 10 winners will be selected from the submissions, with 5 of the winners receiving 60-Day Time Codes (which can be converted to PLEX if desired), and the other 5 winners will receive Limited Edition copies of the Art Of New Eden book. Not a bad deal in exchange for some in-game photos!
