On November 4, Circle of Two held a SOTA meeting to announce their plans for the future. GigX, present on his alliance’s voice comms platform, discussed the unannounced reset of CO2 by Northern Coalition(dot), his struggles with CCP Team Security, the continuing struggle to find allies and sovereignty space for themselves, and a new war they will be waging in the very near future.
GigX stated that their alliance is slowly dying from attrition in The Kalevala Expanse, and as such will be moving to Venal, beginning with Muninns and an undisclosed “Tech 3 Doctrine”. Additionally, they will be performing a mass reset of almost all alliances save Pandemic Horde and Black Legion. Their new war will focus on Darkness and Dead Coalition, with the aim being for CO2 to secure new sov space for themselves in Branch – specifically the 304-QS constellation initially.
One interesting note was that Circle Of Two’s warchest is lacklustre at best, and this could be their last campaign as a result – GigX mentioned that if they are unsuccessful in gaining new sov, the alliance wallet will likely run out and they will be forced to disband their alliance. Despite this, or perhaps because of it, GigX is hesitant to deploy any form of capital support for his forces, intending to leave them behind in Kalevala for the foreseeable future.
A snippet of the SOTA recording was posted to reddit almost immediately after the SOTA finished. In the recording, GigX addressed the issue of his bans and CCP’s Team Security: “Well you know the situation between me and CCP, and it’s just a matter of time before they start chasing – I mean, continue chasing my accounts, which I don’t give a shit what they going to do”. This is clearly an addmission by GigX that he is still playing the game in violation of his perma-ban, and the author of the reddit post (Goonswarm Black Hand member Hyprviper) questions whether the people continuing to enable GigX to play should be punished.
INN reached out to Circle Of Two’s head diplomat and spokesperson Da Winci for comment on the recording, and received this response regarding GigX’s comments on Team Security: “I suggest you let it go. You guys and girls have a weird Serbian fetish. You can quote me on that.”
We will of course keep a close eye on how the situation with CO2 develops moving forward, bringing you any updates as they occur.
