CO2 blows up last bits of sov in Fade

This week, Circle-of-Two (C02) self-destructed all of their remaining TCUs and IHUBs in the Fade region. Likely a response to a pending sov bill, this appears to be a money-saving move to help cut back on their cost of living. For those who don’t know, each TCU accrues a daily fee of 20m ISK, to be paid every 2 weeks. IHUBs are billed at 10m under the same system.

Self-destructing a sov structure can be done by a pilot with certain corporate roles and rights. The pilot activates the self-destruct option by flying to the structure in question and setting thing in motion. At that point, the sov-holder alliance has 1 hour to stop it before the structure is destroyed.

A total of 21 TCUs and 8 IHUBs where destroyed. This is enough to save the alliance about 500m per day. Some observers note that the savings are enough to pay the SRP for Muninns lost trying to save PH rorquals earlier in the day.

C02 sov looks to be down to two systems. They still hold the systems of 7-PO3P and VORM-W in Vale of the Silent. It is unclear what C02’s future plans are. Currently, they reside in the Kalevala expanse. However, their arrival has met with local resistance from Skill Urself (Skillu) and other groups such as Scourge, as well as awoxing alts from Pandemic Horde. Only time will tell the next move for C02.

occam’s razor would suggest they did it because they don’t live there anymore, but who knows, never not spin.

So exactly as the author of this piece stated?

Also I am not seeing the spin in this piece so I would be grateful if you could point that bit out for me. TYVMIA.

I’m guessing he means ship spinning. Cause only a blind short bus kid could misinterpret that article as bias to anyone.
