Welcome to the Week in Review for November 10-16. We’ve got some nice news and updates this week in case you missed any of them coming from CCP.
Alpha pilots can now access the EVE Portal companion app for EVE Online, including access to the Jita PLEX market. In addition, pilots can now trade and activate skill injectors! The overall layout has been redesigned, and localizations have been added for French, German, Russian, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. Make sure to check it out in an app store near you.
The “Dynamic Frontiers” update is now live on Tranquility. The system introduces Dynamic Bounties to the systems of New Eden, leading to pirate bounty multipliers for more dangerous systems. The update was designed to spread ratting bounties more evenly across the cluster and is a shot across the bow for botters. The redesigned Encounter Surveillance System (ESS) is now active in every system, providing interesting gameplay opportunities for those who might seek to siphon a little of that income off the farmers.
In addition to “Dynamic Frontiers”, the “Vat Out of Hel” supercarrier update has dropped to Tranquility as well. The update introduces the “Tactical Capsuleer Recloner,” which allows players to effectively spawn to forward-deployed supercarriers. The update also comes with new supercarrier visuals as well as some tweaks to the sizes of ship maintenance bays.
CCP has also returned the ever popular Headhunter SKINs to the New Eden Store for the Aeon, Hel, Nyx, and Wyvern, along with a 20% discount. The SKINs will be available until November 17, so don’t hesitate if you want to pick them up! The Blazing and Ascendant Phoenix Packs are also on sale in the EVE Store until December 1; they include skill books related to capital ships and fighters.
Jita 4-4 has had a huge visual revamp! Daily rewards include special fireworks. Take care if you choose to visit Jita though, as existing bookmarks around the station have been removed!
There was a 48-hour sale on November 11-12 that gave 11% off of the Training Boost Bundle and a few SKINS for only 11 PLEX each. Hopefully you took advantage!
Congratulations to all who participated in the PLEX For Good campaign. They raised over $135,000 for the World Health Organization and John Hopkins Center’s fight against COVID-19. PLEX for Good was a campaign originally started for the South East Asia Tsunami back in 2005, and to date has raised more than $700,000 for charity. Outstanding!
The first weekend of the EVE_NT Alliance Open took place this past weekend on November 14-15, with 32 alliances competing in a series of double elimination 10v10 PvP matches for 700 billion ISK in prizes. Make sure to catch the second phase this coming weekend on November 21 over at www.twitch.tv/eve_nt_tv!
That’s All Folks!
That does it for this week. Tune in at the same time, same place, next week for your weekly recap.
