In a State of the Coalition meeting earlier this evening, progodlegend announced a full-scale Legacy Coalition deployment towards Providence. The stated purpose of this movement into Providence is to burn Pandemic Legion sovereignty and then hold Outposts and Conquerable Stations across the region, ahead of the June 5 conversion of Outposts into faction Fortizar structures. Progod also emphasised the importance of using this deployment to solve any outstanding issues with coalition communications, logistics, and to ensure that they can present a fully united front if that is ever necessary.
Additionally, Legacy military command are hoping that this deployment will give their cadre of newer players the opportunity to experience a ‘proper campaign’. The last large-scale Legacy campaign was more than a year ago, when TEST, Circle of Two and others fought to take space in Catch, Impasse, and Esoteria during early 2017. Progod also mentioned that this deployment will make further use of their shield supercapital fleet, as well as being the proving ground for their new and Black Legion-approved Muninn doctrine. It should also be expected that Legacy Coalition will work extensively with what remains of Curatores Veritatis and ProviBloc during this campaign, given recent movements of both alliances and high-profile players away from Providence into Legacy Co.
This announcement follows a forum post from progodlegend roughly a week ago, which informed Legacy members of the need to pre-stage combat assets into the TEST Keepstar in U-QVWD before tonight’s meeting. One interesting note from that post is a mention of new support requirements to counter a “Vigil problem”, which suggests that Legacy forces have recently been struggling to manage hostile target painting. This, along with the emphasis on communications troubleshooting, suggests that this deployment could be a dust-off campaign before a more major potential offensive later this year.
As always with major campaigns, INN will monitor the theatre and bring you more updates on this developing conflict as we receive them.
