As capsuleers who are involved likely already know, the server node supporting the KVN-36 system crashed during a critical armor timer fight for the Keepstar. The node death was announced by CCP at 21:35 EVE Time, and the node was down for just over 20 minutes. The delay has caused an immense interruption of this key strategic fight between the Imperium and combined PandaFam and Legacy forces. At the time of the crash, the Keepstar’s repair timer was paused at 13 minutes and 37 seconds remaining, and the node was experiencing crushing time dilation.
Immediately before the crash, players saw a significant performance drop when a BRAVE Ferox fleet warped to an Imperium Rokh fleet (known as a Supertrain) at 0km at the back of the Keepstar. The Rokhs had smartbombs equipped, and some players believe that those calls saturated the already struggling system. Sometime later, an Imperium Jackdaw fleet was smartbombed in return by an NC. fleet, finally killing the node.
As the Keepstar grid reloaded, the Keepstar timer was repairing at 5 minutes or less. At the time of publishing, the Keepstar had successfully repaired, and offensive forces appeared to be attempting to retreat.
