CCP have announced today that Fanfest 2022 will be held from May 6 to 7 in Laugardalshöll arena. The announcement comes after three years without the annual player gathering in Iceland. Fanfest was first split up into multiple smaller events as “World Tour” due to the renovation of the Harpa venue, and then cancelled as the pandemic began in earnest.
The venue for this Fanfest is the Laugardalshöll, which is one of Iceland’s largest sporting venues hosting up to 10,000 visitors, and is also hosting Riot’s League of Legends World Championship this year. The arena has been the home of Fanfest from 2007 to 2011. Attendees coming to Fanfest will be required to show proof of vaccination.
CCP have published a Devblog and the corresponding official Fanfest page, alongside a fun YouTube video. Tickets can be bought on Eventbrite from 150$ for the super-early bird offer, with the price increasing in steps until the full price of 295$.
