Earlier today, Brave Collective military director and FC Blue Ice announced sweeping changes to how the Brave Collective military will work going forward, including adjustments to SRP programs and FC rankings. A soundcloud link to the military announcement can be found here.
The Ship Replacement Program has had its “fun fleet” payout increased to twenty million ISK, encouraging line members to participate in fleets without financial burden, and giving FCs more training opportunities. In addition to this, to encourage more Logistics and Recon pilots taking part in stratops, their SRP has been increased to 150% while mainline DPS ships in stratops have had their SRP lowered to 50%, likely due to their high cost paired with BRAVE losing money moons in the region.
The FC program has been stripped down to simply Junior FCs and full FCs, with Blue Ice as BRAVE military director, and his two deputies: Gertrude the Goat for AU timezone and Kelnon Tealth for US timezone. BRAVE originally had many tiers of FC determining what fleets they could run, and when, but this program failed, leading to stagnation and many FCs leaving BRAVE for greener pasture.
BRAVE is working on an armor strategic cruiser doctrine, but fits have not been announced yet, the doctrine team wants very much to get it right. Legions are the preferred ship, but those members who have trained Ishtars are encouraged to bring Proteuses as well. Lokis are welcome.
In addition, yesterday Nancy Crow officially took control of the Brave Collective after Lychton Kondur ceded control. This was due to Lychton’s work schedule preventing him from being an effective leader for the foreseeable future. Nancy made an announcement here stating that BRAVE is indeed in trouble, and that he is learning about leadership as time goes on. He said he would likely cede control of HERO Coalition to Of Sound Mind leader June Ting while Nancy is in power due to Nancy not being as experienced. It has been hinted at but not confirmed that BRAVE may go on a deployment or leave Fountain. More details to come.
Lastly, two BRAVE corporations are seeking greener pastures and leaving the Collective. Their second largest corporation of over 800 members, BOVRIL bOREers Mining Co-Op will be leaving for RAZOR Alliance. Alea Iacta Est Universal will be moving its 130 members to The Forge lowsec. All parties are departing on good terms, though there is some sadness on the loss of friends.
