The Anger Games Starts this Saturday

Get your game on! Your Anger Game!

That’s right folks, after the amazing success that was the first Anger Games they are back for another one. And this time is it Bigger and Better!

With 14 teams now competing and over 200 players, there is even more action in store this time around. Not only will you get to see “the best” that The Imperium has to offer in the way of tournament competitors, but you will also see many teams from other parts of Eve Online. Ever wondered what would happen when you put historical names such as Dabigredboat, Lazarus Telraven, Elo Knight, Dirk MacGirk, Capri Sun Kraftfoods, Elise Randolph, Suitonia, Tiberius Stargazer and Rahne Chocolate in the same arena? Nor have I! But now is our chance to find out what the outcome will be. With several tonnes, literally tonnes, more talent present you can expect some great battles.

As with the first Anger Games, the focus is on fun and giving an opportunity to newer teams to participate in a tournament event.

Rumour has it that there are even ISK prizes available for the winners. But let us be honest here and recognise that there are no losers in this event, they are all winners for taking part.

Welcome to the Thunderdome

With great thanks to CCP, yet again we are able to run this tournament on the Thunderdome event server.

As such we will be seeing fully skilled pilots doing their very best to smash their opponents and not fly out of bounds. Surprisingly there were no boundary violations in the first Anger Games. But this may be due to orbiting the FC at 2500m while they sit on the warp in beacon. Yes, that was a lie. There was a lot of movement and even one match to reach 750% reverse tidi, which is a sight to behold I assure you. This time we can expect these antics to be surpassed.

The Schedule

  • 2017-04-22 20:00 – 24:00 – 13 matches scheduled on the first day.
  • 2017-04-29 20:00 – 24:00 – 10 matches to be shown where teams continue to fight to keep their chances of making the finals alive.
  • 2017-04-30 20:00 – 24:00 – The finals where the best of the best will battle it out for that honoured title of The Anger Games II winner.

Keep up with the action!

This tournament will be streamed via The Imperium News Network Twitch channel here. So you can follow all the action, commentary and analysis as it happens, or perhaps simply catch up with it all later on.

No expense has been spared in obtaining the very best commentators and studio guests that Eve Online has to offer. And when I say “no expense” I really mean “no expense”. You can expect to hear from the likes of:

  • Everyone’s favourite accessible gamer, Gommel Nox.
  • CSM member and general know-it-all, Jin’taan.
  • F1 Monkey and failed usurper, Moomin Amatin.

This is by no means the full line up and you can expect more great guests and commentators on the day.

You can track the results as they happen from the Eve_NT website here. There is the full team line up here as well so do not delay in choosing the team you will be rooting for. But remember people, no gambling!

So tune in this weekend for the start of the newest and freshest Eve Online tournament on the block.
