On the Meta Show on Saturday, Ministry of Love Director Boneytooth Thompkins Isk-Chip announced that the next Burn Jita event will be held on an undisclosed date in February.
This years event is titled “Burn Jita 4 Kids”, a mockery of the scam charity “Care 4 Kids”. Held annually, the Burn Jita events mark a weekend where the Goonswarm Federation and its allies descend upon Jita to gank freighters.
At this time, The Ministry of Love is in the process of fitting more than 20,000 ships for the event, with a goal of beating the totals of the previous Burn events, Burn Amarr and Burn Akini, at 596 and 606 billion ISK respectively.
This will be the 6th “Burn” event organized by the Ministry of Love, and the 4th Burn Jita.
The amounts destroyed at each of the previous events is as follows:
- Burn Jita Classic (2012): 518.47 billion ISK
- Burn Jita 2 (2013): 578.35 billion ISK
- Burn Jita 3 (2014): 586.7 billion ISK
- Burn Amarr / Unrest in Uedama (2015): 387b / 359 billion ISK
- Burn Out Warr Akini (2015): 606 billion ISK
