2nd Blood Raider Sotiyo Reinforced

Rhivre 2017-05-25

In the early afternoon of May 25 the second Blood Raider Sotiyo was reinforced by 4 pilots from Dream Fleet <DRF>.

The Sotiyo had spawned in the system of Z-M5A1 in Period Basis and was located on May 24 by Jebi Vjetar from Ushra’khan.

On May 25,  Jebi had just woken up, and logged in his character in the system, when he saw the structure was at 97%, so he began to stream it.

The pilots came in initially in a Nyx and two Hels and were later joined by a Vendetta in shooting the structure.

They were able to tank the NPCs relatively easily and warp out when they took too much damage, warping back in to continue shooting.  Jebi told us that he thought they could have done it with two ships if they did not mind losing more fighters, as it was, they lost only 3 fighters using the 4 ships.

The final timer will be around 1230 May 26, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out, especially given that it is out of the more popular time zones.

You can see the VOD of the fight here

INN will, of course, be at the final timer, and we hope you will join us.

Yep, the timing is well chosen, 90 mins after downtime there is not a lot going on. Will be interesting to see who turns up.

It’s Russian space, and they are Imperium allies as it was with the previous one. So they will run it.

It wasn’t whether the Sov holders turn up, it was whether any opposing forces turn up, or whether they will be able to solo it in a super.

Oh I see… as in Imperium is not involved necessarily would the likes of grr gons make an effort? (And yes there are some rabit types who froth at the mouth… even so many years later…)

Would Imperium arrive to 3’rd party on such people? I think The Mittani has made our KOS rankings clear enough. But I don’t necessarily see Imperium on grid with that thing unless our allies ask us to. It’s their show. Their FC will make that call. Far more likely to get ganked by Imperium on the gates going to/from the event.

  • The Blood Raider plan was to try and hide from Goons deeper in Period Basis I guess. That Omir Sarikusa is a deep thinker.

Why are these Sotiyo’s so weak? They’re being killed by punishers and now by 4 ships? That is so lame.

They should have been super formidable. People are going to be bored of them in a couple of weeks. After that it’s going to be just farming.

Think BIG CCP. Think they drop 100 titans on your if you bring even a single dread. Make these things scary. Make them exciting. Make it so the first kill goes down in EVE lore.

    Not this flimsy crap.

The Punisher thing was specially lame since Drifters already suffered the same issue with being killed by frigates, until their tracking was improved to effectively hit anything they locked.

CCP will never learn. A single scripted mission may be walkthroughed in the first hour at Sisi, but endless players will enjoy it whether they read or don’t the walkthrough. Instead of that, CCP delivers superexpensive, hypersophisticate AI toys which players will break in a week and turn them into laughable “gimme bacon” buttons.

KISS, CCP. Keep It Simple, Stupid CCP.

Next thing you know the 2nd Blood Raider Sotiyo will probably be destroyed by a fleet of rookie ships. 🙁

Thanks for the correction Joe. I was half expecting it to be found by Imperium again. I was also half expecting this one to spawn in Delve.
