INN’s first Streamer of the Month for 2019 is here! Mind1 taking the prize by storm. INN debuted the Streamer of the Month contest in October to help identify and support INN’s gaming streamers on its Twitch platform. We spoke to our winner, Mind1, who had this to say.
INN: First of all, second time winning, congratulations. Can you tell us who you are?
Mind1: My name is Mind1. I am a variety streamer on Twitch mostly known for my live DJ streams on Saturday nights and ‘My Kids Monday’ streams on Mondays. Married, two kids, three dogs. Been DJing for over 20 years and a nerd even longer.
INN: How long have you been streaming?
Mind1: I technically started streaming at the end of 2014, but have been taking it seriously for about a year now.
INN: What inspired you to become a streamer?
Mind1: I happened to stumble upon Twitch and realized it was a place I could share my passion for gaming and music with like-minded people.
INN: How did you get into streaming?
Mind1: Originally I fired up the ole boot-camped Macbook Pro and started streaming WOW. Oh, man those were rough days….
INN: What are your future plans for streaming on your own channel?
Mind1: My short term goals are to hopefully become a full time streamer and build a happy helpful community. Long term, Mrs. Mind and I would like to use our influence to start an animal rescue.
INN: What games/content do you like to stream for the INN audience?
Mind1: Since I am Karmafleet’s official DJ 🙂 I love being the audio entertainment for the ‘Saturday Night Swarms’. During my FatBee slot, I usually fail at WOW or D2.
INN: What advice would you give to future streamers/content creators?
Mind1: Don’t wait to start. Whatever excuse you are telling yourself, stop, and just hit the go live button. Everything else will come with time. Be patient and love what you do. Play what you want and be yourself. Fitting in is for puzzle pieces, not streamers.
INN: Tell us when we can find you on Twitch?
Mind1: I stream Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 6:30 p.m. (EST), Saturday 10:30 p.m. (EST) and Sunday 10:30 a.m. (EST) on my channel, and Wednesday 6:30 p.m. (EST) on FatBee.
