On March 30th, 2019, the alliance “Stranger Danger.” lost multiple structures, along with close to a thousand ships, in the Class-5 wormhole system of J220924. Among the wrecks were two faction citadels – a ‘Marginis’ Forizar and a ‘Prometheus’ Fortizar – along with abandoned capitals and assorted expensive subcapitals. The perpetrator was Inner Hell, a group who have been grabbing more and more attention in the past few months.
The first deaths were during fights over hole control in the system, which Stranger Danger lost quickly. They also put up a small fight over the timers in the systems, but overall it was just feeding more ships to Inner Hell. Not only did Inner Hell seed caps into the system, but they also ran a Drekavac battlecruiser fleet, a composition now well known for effectively killing capitals and heavier doctrines. After these small skirmishes were lost, multiple structures were destroyed, followed by the destruction of any assembled ships ejected by the wormhole asset loss mechanic, and then any remaining loot was scooped and evacuated.

Due to the nature of wormhole space and the game, the total loot dropped is unknown, but it is expected to be in the hundreds of billions as we consider what was destroyed or looted from the field. Based on battle reports, Inner Hell only lost 230 million isk, while Stranger Danger lost close to 235 billion isk, not including their structures.
With this campaign, Inner Hell is well on the way to becoming one of the most destructive wormhole corps in the game. This operation was an overwhelming victory for Inner Hell, given that Stranger Danger lost more than 100x the ISK value in ships alone. Recently, Inner Hell has also been attacking a large number of wormhole and nullsec targets, making them a clear player in both types of space. While we are unsure if they will follow Skill Urself in a transition to nullsec primacy, these actions definitely establish Inner Hell as a group that nullsec entities should worry about.
As always, we will continue to monitor these interesting conflicts and bring you the news of the day, so stay tuned!
