Reports are coming in of a Vanquisher class titan piloted by Rekrab Sivart of RED GUARD.inc that has been destroyed in the HD-JVQ system on the MT02-2 gate.
This is only the second Vanquisher to have been destroyed. Early reports suggested that the titan followed a Rorqual through a gate and was ambushed by a hostile fleet.
The titan fell to a combined force of super capitals, titans and dreads piloted by members of Siberian Squads and Here Be Dragons alliances.
It should also be noted that this is the fourth titan that Rekrab Sivart has lost since May 2017. Interestingly, the cost of his Vanquisher was more than combined losses of his other titans by over 65B ISK.
In the last month, there have been some high profile titan kills on gates. These have happened as players have opted to take a regional gate, to avoid the extra jumps otherwise required to reach their destination.
