Northern Supercapital force called into question as Keepstar falls

In the European Timezone of November 19, a Keepstar belonging to the Northern Coalition exited its anchoring period and became vulnerable to attack.

The Keepstar was located in H-5GUI, a system in Vale of the Silent on the regional border into Geminate. Its positioning and placement were largely to project influence into the region against ongoing campaigns by Goonswarm/Imperium, Test Alliance/Legacy, and various other smaller entities harassing and attacking Pandemic Horde, Geminate’s current residents.

Pandemic Horde is currently deployed to Branch, fighting alongside Black Legion to strike against GOTG in the heart of their territory. With their home no longer reinforced by the bulk of the alliance, PanFam saw fit to anchor this Keepstar to support in Horde’s absence.

As the Keepstar became vulnerable, Initiative arrived on field with ranged Cruise Ravens and Micro Jump Destroyers. Using their high mobility, the Ravens were able to keep the timer paused for a considerable duration, after which Imperium and Legacy were able to arrive on field and contest the PanFam fleets and support the damage posed against the structure. Though Imperium and Legacy had previously performed a mutual reset after the major Northern War in August lost momentum and concluded with GOTG’s surrender to Imperium and Fraternity’s surrender to Test Alliance, for this battle, they were once again Imperial Legacy.

The system quickly reached heavy Time Dilation, with PanFam fighters following after the Initiative Ravens and local spiking to over 2600 pilots. TiDi was reported at 10%, with occasional relief periods to upwards of 50% as fighters were pulled back.

During the height of the battle, an Imperium spy in the PanFam fleet was able to secure control of a squad, and fleetwarped a portion of the PanFam supercapitals into awaiting bubbles. While over a dozen supercapitals became trapped, Imperial Legacy forces jumped dreads into a nearby system and gated them onto the grid, where three titans and several supercarriers were downed as the Keepstar was destroyed.

Due to the system’s cynojammer in effect, Imperial Legacy were largely forced to fight without any capital assets against PanFam’s assembled supercapitals. PanFam losing the battle despite this major advantage presents a concerning view on the strength of the coalition.

The loss of the strategic Keepstar and the morale hit from the circumstances of the loss may not bode well for the future of Geminate and the coalitions surrounding it.

Just so many questions here for me.

What excuse will be rolled out this time from PanFam for this defeat? Especially given that Goons only “krab”, have no stamina and never commit.

Where were all the PanFam pilots? Time and time again we are told that they are only in the game for”gud fites” and yet their numbers were appalling. Are they suffering a “brain drain” and if so why?

How inept must the PanFam leadership be to have dropped the ball in such spectacular fashion? They had the home advantage, capitals and a cyno jammed sytem with oodles of time to prepare.

Most importantly is the question of AWOXing. All the capital losses suffered were mainly due to an AWOX action by a PH member. Will PH be SRPing all the pilots who lost capitals? Because according to vocal PanFam members to not replace all the losses is a New Eden crime of the highest order.

      1. Didn’t want that Keepstar anyway. Already replaced.
      2. Too hard being Elite. Goons wouldn’t know this as they are too busy Krabbing.
      3. Ummmm Hello! Dock up those faction titans!
      4. The crime in this case is the pathetic showing to begin with.

It’s hard to argue that we do not krab 24/7. Especially now that there is no official war. I mean we, have God Emperor Mittens, PBUH, involved in expanding The Holy Ochre Rule. If that’s not a sign of apocalypse nothing is. However, the moment pings went out for strategic operations we filled 4 fleets. That’s 1000+ people in less than 30 min moving towards combat (ignoring initiative who were already there and are actually the only seriously competent member of Imperium).

Problem for the northern elite crowd is that they are in reality even worse than the utterly incompetent goons.

How bad must the super and titan pilots be to not hit CTRL + SPACE before they warped in a TIDI fest. I enjoyed those killmails.

Assuming they weren’t pre aligned for some reason it’d take more than 3 minutes to start warp a titan in 10% TIDI. Kinda ridiculous that a whole squads worth of them just let it happen.

This is why I’d love to see a reduction it tidi during massive fights over the next few decades. There is a lot of skill that goes into these fights but group skill becomes more prevalent in real time then is allowed in 1 second per 10 second situations. I feel large blunders would be more prevalent in real time though.

Handling TiDi is a whole another set of skills so it’s hardly that you don’t need skill in TiDi. Problem is that you need to actually fight against us instead of the usual drop supers everyone runs away in fear from NCdocked or whatever they imagine for themselves.

Also, they do not learn from the past. We too had issues with subcaps during 6RCQ anchoring. A single fleet was able to do a lot of damage and keep the timer paused despite insane amount of supers/titans on the field. You have to have subcaps there to disrupt the enemy subcaps or you will lose as NCdocked just did.

LOL NC. tried to pull a 6RCQ style anchoring and the imperium laughed at the attempt before dunking their tackled supers.
