One announcement from Gamescom 2019 took the entire internet by storm – Kerbal Space Program 2!
The sequel has a tentative release date of Spring 2020 and will expand on the first game’s formula significantly. According to the announcement, we can expect all of the rocket-science fueled mishaps we know and love. Additionally, exploration will take players past the edge of the solar system and allow them to create colonies. Even better, there’s multiplayer!
Another interesting development is that Squad, the developers of the first game, are being replaced by Star Theory (former Uber Entertainment), though at this point it’s unclear exactly how this shift will affect the final game. I was a huge fan of the first game, so I’ll be keeping a close eye on every tidbit that drops this fall. I, and pretty much everyone else, seems to have extremely high expectations for the sequel.
Stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available!
