FCON loses dreads to Space Violence

Today at 18:00  a fleet of the Imperium’s forward-deployed Space Violence Squad, set out to reinforce an FCON jump bridge, located in the system of XVV-21. It proceeded to bait and kill a number of FCON dreadnoughts, before being destroyed, after a chase in the system of H-RXNZ, by a CO2 fleet of Omen Navy Issues, and an FCON Machariel fleet. The numbers stand at 40bn ISK lost to the Imperium, with the opposing parties suffering a combined 72bn ISK loss.

The engagement comes after a number of days of Space Violence attempting to force an engagement with FCON. However, SV has had trouble finding an enemy FC willing to take on their fleet compositions in a subcap fight. FCON’s Nour Samy broke that trend, by committing a Machariel fleet, with a number of dreadnoughts and faxes to repair the damaged jump bridge. However, that was just the trap SV had set. They deployed a number of their own dreads to destroy the FCON capital fleet, and then withdrew most of them before an efficient response fleet could be formed.

On leaving the area, SV quickly realized that they, in turn, had been put in an untenable position, and were facing off against two fleets. Yet, going out in a fun ball of fire is what Space Violence likes to do, and why they are prone to flying doctrines, that insure well. Consequently, they took the engagement as well as they could, before reshipping into a rescue fleet to bring home the eight stragglers that survived the CO2/FCON-response.
