In a tweet released earlier today, Verone, a.k.a. ex-CCP Falcon, announced his departure from CCP. The announcement came after nearly a week of speculation on reddit and other sites, stemming mostly from Falcon’s absence at EVE Vegas, as well as an extended period of comms silence on official matters.
After 7 amazing years at @CCPGames it's time for me to dock my Polaris Enigma Frigate and set off in search of a new adventure in the universe.
It's been a privilege and a pleasure to serve such an incredible, dedicated and passionate community.#tweetfleet pic.twitter.com/8lQ1UF0oms

SEVEN YEARS AT CCP
Falcon joined CCP in October of 2012. He came from a background of low-sec piracy that included time in both CAKE and Sniggerdly, and culminated in the formation of VETO in 2007.
In his time at CCP, Falcon has worn a number of community-facing hats. He’s worked with the story team, helped run the CSM, and has served as the primary Community Manager. Throughout, he has been a constant presence and a consistent voice from CCP to the playerbase. He has been active and engaged both on official forums, and on /r/eve, where his willingness to relate to EVE players as one of them sometimes caused friction with some elements of the community.
As might be expected, his departure has caused a stir of its own on the subreddit, as well. While Verone has not yet made any public statement about ‘what’s next’ for him RL or in EVE, at least one commenter on his Twitter post has suggested restarting Veto. According to Verone, that ‘could be in the cards at some point’. Whatever the future brings, INN would like to thank Verone for all of the work, dedication, and passion that he has poured into this game as both a player and a CCP’er, and we wish him nothing but the best, going forward.
