An Erebus belonging to Egwyne of Honorable Third Party was destroyed just before downtime yesterday in Placid. The low damage on the killmail piqued our interest, so we contacted the parties for more details.
Redrector and D4rk f0g of Snuff Box explained that they were actually hunting someone else at the time. Their scout linked local and D4rk f0g recognized Egwyne as a titan pilot who was selling his Erebus and who had been on his watchlist for 6 months. He told the scout “that’s an Erebus, go find him.”
The scout found the titan on the shields of his POS with a noobship wreck 10km off. D4rk f0g speculates that the titan cynoed in on the POS and was slow boating into the shields when he disconnected or quit his client. Hictors jumped in and managed to point him and the dreadnoughts went to work. Egwyne also lost his pod.
“We usually kill Leviathans,” said D4rk f0g,”but we opted to leave our comfort zone this time.” Other members of the group reported satisfaction with the events.
Egwyne was unavailable for comment at time of publication.
