CCP has a new Dev Blog up today, commemorating the 15th anniversary of life in New Eden. In addition to the ongoing Anniversary Event, Operation: Conscious Interruption, they’re marking the occasion with a new 15th Anniversary Trailer, appreciation for players old and new alike, and (likely of highest interest to our readers) a sizeable amount of swag.
Anniversary-related gifts consist of Society of Conscious Thought (SoCT) ships, and 15th Anniversary-branded items. Gift items will be available to all accounts logged in during the 30 days prior to the anniversary event (April 7 – May 6). These items can be obtained via Eve’s Redeem System (accessible from the loading screen – after logging in, but before selecting your character).
All accounts active from April 7 – May 6, regardless of clone state, will receive an Apotheosis-class shuttle, anniversary-branded Apotheosis skin, anniversary-branded capsule skin, and anniversary-branded shirt and cap for their characters.
In addition, accounts that have been in Omega status at any time from April 7 – May 6 will also receive a Suneisis-class Destroyer (and anniversary-branded skin), a Gnosis-class Battlecruiser (and anniversary-branded skin), and an all-new Praxis-class Battleship (and anniversary-branded skin) introduced specially for this event.
All gifts will appear in active accounts’ Redeem Systems on May 7. Remember that redeemable items generally come with an expiration period (180 days is typical), so don’t forget to collect your gifts while you can!
All-in-all, the Anniversary Dev Blog reads like a love letter to Eve fans, as CCP expresses its appreciation for its player base in both tangible and intangible ways. As noted at Fanfest 2018, this anniversary celebration is a stepping stone to the start of a third decade in New Eden’s history.
